I have returned to PF.com in time for the forthcoming NBA draft; and, in doing so, I present the traditional return topic.

So, PF.com, how do you spend the summer away from Pistons basketball? I believe it can be assumed that most fans, like The Byrds, simply turn, turn, turn until a new season arrives. But for the fans who invest emotionally into the hopefully masterful composition that is being written - following every counterpoint and crescendo - how do you organize and interpret your emotions?

Personally, I usually have a big project lined up for the summer. This year, it's helping to restore my good friend Bobby Brown's old winnebago. It's been in his community for five decades and was just recently passed onto him. Everyone has used that winnebago at one point, so it would be great to help the tradition to continue.

Welcome back my friend. Glad to hear things are going well. The Winnebago sounds like a fun project.

I'm planning to pick up kayaking this summer. I've been trolling craigslist for bargains. Hope to hit some of the local lakes this summer.

I usually organize hobo fights for the ICE and border patrol agents here in Phoenix but the police et al have been hassling me recently. I chose to put a new lawn in instead and am happy with my "choice" so far.

I might throw in the ol' Dick Cavett DVD later on tonight to pass some time.

During the summer I like to read up on draft prospects and try to figure out the stars from the busts. Otherwise, I'm working on a music video featuring some very sexy burlesque dancers.

Travel - Mexico by plane, Michigan by car, and some weekend camping trips in the mountains with the kids (as long as there aren't any fires).

Home Improvement (Landscaping) - The front yard is already looking like Augusta National.
The back yard is getting a horseshoe pit and I'm rebuilding the fire pit with all new stones and seating.

...Mountain biking, taking the pooch to the dog park, a little golf and for the first time since high school basketball, I've actually started weight training.

I recently took the training wheels off of my son's bike so he and I have been rolling around the hood on our bikes ...representin'!

    ...and of course, work. :ranger:

I hate when there's no basketball on. After the draft, I start looking forward to Phil Eagles training camp, then football.
I'm going to relax this summer, kick back, we will go to our place in the mountains as often as we can, that's always a fun time.
Am planning on a week-end trip to Philly, we love going there, me for the Eagles atmosphere, my husband for the food.
No real vacations until the fall, then it'll be the mountains again.......

I will have seen every blockbuster movie and traveled to Orlando, Miami, the Bahamas, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Denver and Maui before the Pistons play another game....

I don't have to scramble trying to find a Pistons feed, that is if I have time. I guess that makes it relaxing.

It is a time of change for me. My son is heading off to college in the Fall (UM) and my two daughters have already flown the coop. I'm running a 10K next month with my daughters so I may try to resurrect the running thread.

I walked to the mailbox today.
Checked out the flowers in the parkway.
Took a nap after my two-hour work-out at the gym.

Two Summers ago, it was hitting Europe (France, Belgium, Italy) for a while, which was fun. Also, a lot of cocktails on Summer nights. Last Summer, it was buying and remodeling my home and preparing for my first kid.

This year, with the kid (who's a real time sucking buzzkill), It's yard work, gardening, weight lifting, and hiking. I've done a weekend camping trip, and I'm going white water rafting next weekend. Barbeques with buddies are usually done every other weekend. But most days, it's working, then interacting with my little one, and then a book, or TV (which I didn't watch for years), or a movie (and cocktails). Speaking of TV, I don't remember TV being this good years ago. I could probably name 10 GREAT shows on TV right now.

Please don't make reckless comments like this. You don't train to ride a bike like Lee.

Lots of kayaking including an inglorious wet exit a couple of weeks ago. Lots of walking. Heading to France tonight for a couple of weeks, then off later in July to Santa Fe for the opera.
