Great game by Ken-Tay-vious. That Tayshuan-like block early in the game was great and he shot the lights out.
Josh Smith was loudly booed every time he touched the ball and he looked like he was forcing a lot of shots. He didn't take any threes or even long 2s that I remember. He was trying to be Good Josh Smith but he was shut down.

Harden decided to take over the game in the second half after it looked like he was down with a knee injury in the first. After rolling around on the floor for about 10 minutes and hobbling off the court earlier he somehow bounced back and got the Rockets to within 6 at one point. As boos were raining down on Josh Smith Harden seemed to react to the crowd and pointed to the scoreboard. Like they were on their way to catching up and winning. He was clearly the best player on the floor but a big three by Ken-Tay-vious and some timely misses by the other Rockets....and they fell short.

DJ played a great game following up the bad one against Philly. Singler hit a bunch of shots early and played physical defense. He had two long scratches down his arm by the end of the game. Monroe was solid again and Tolliver was also very good off the bench. Dinwiddie didn't plat many minutes but he had a nice give and go with Tolliver and looked OK.

This was a good solid win after the pitiful performance against Philly, despite Howard not playing. Have to say, we have had a bit of luck in this department this season, where star players have been injured when we play them.

    Some thoughts:
    - Meeks needs to pick up his game. KCP is going to be streaky (maybe always) and we need Meeks' firepower off the bench. What is he shooting on 3's after the streak? 20%?
    - KCP's defence is great. Think he should be in consideration for second all defensive team. He played Harden as well as you can. Another one of these poor, good shooters though (70% or something on FTs) and not sold on his game... yet. Mentioned a while ago that I was drinking the cool aid on him and that was when we were running Rip-like plays for him. Would like to see more of that early in the game than the 3s. Can't fault his game in this one though - that one foot 3 at the end was a nice touch.
    - Not sure why we have gone completely away from JJ. Sure Tolliver is playing well overall, but they bring equally as much hustle, D and 3s. In the 4 game streak, there was only garbage time for JJ in one game and Tolliver wasn't lighting it up. Would like to see SVG go back to giving them both minutes and see which is on his game more that day to play out the game.
    - Moose seems to add a good element to our team that a lot of teams struggle to defend, more so when surrounded by shooters and a penetrating PG. His passing is great (Dre continues to surprise me too actually) but think he could get more bunnies for the guys on the arc sometimes when he goes into spin mode when double teamed. I have three hopes for him - that he resigns with us, that he isn't just playing good in his contract year and that he gets more confident in that FT range jump shot.
    - Dre = FTs, FTs, FTs.
    - Great ball and off the ball movement in this game for the most part. Please more of that SVG.
