Agree. No reason to sugar coat it. Andre was taught a lesson. What bothered me was that he allowed Howard easy position. What bothered me was that Howard went right around him. But no panic here. Andre will get stronger and wiser.

I am more concerned about the seeming lack of any system on offense or defense 30 games in. The Charlotte loss on Friday was a give away and it wasn't all on the players. And yes, it affected the team in this game.

It is a lot of little things. No out of bounds play. Little motion in the offense. Seemingly letting teams have the drive and the 3 point shot on defense--not taking anything away. Seeming lack of preparation for team's different offenses. Failure to get several players to focus on their free throw shooting. These are things both big and small that most teams do--even the poorer teams. The Pistons have holes in personnel but you get the feeling that the Piston record should be better personnel or not. I hope on am wrong here. It is easy to second guess. But coaching is very important the next two years as this team (hopefully) becomes a legitimate contender.

Seen this team lose in a lot of ways, but never quite saw them lose their heart like they did last night. Especially Drummond in the fourth.

Cheecks seemed to bench his guys in the 4th as they seemed to have abandoned the game and reverted back to launching jump shots and not even attempting to play any defense, but he left Drummond in to continue to play against Howard. I think he wanted Drummond to keep getting his butt kicked and wouldn't bail him out with a trip to the bench.

And he cool thing about it was, McHale obliged Cheecks. It was like Mo and Kev looked at each other and said, let's teach the kid a lesson.

There aren't too many super athletic players with solid post games. Most of the guys who could match dre's height, weight, and or quickness, are raw themselves. This is the first time he's ever been beaten over and over one on that I can remember.

We gave up the most points in the 1st quarter with all our stars in the game. Dh was shaq like in this one.

Who knew that being outplayed by a guy who was a definite top 5 player in the L prior to his injuries and owning up to it afterwards would stir such animosity?

You guys must be some real overachievers.

That was a nice but I think it may have been a goaltend. There is no doubt Andre is a special player. Let's hope he continues to develop, stays healthy, and never asks to be traded.

Drummond will be the sort of player in another year or two that free agents will want to come play with.

But we probably won't have any cap space to be players in the free agent market at that time.
