For a three year window to build this franchise, how come no one talks about the 'actual REIGNING' NBA Coach of the Year? I saw him on ESPN and totally forgot he was still around. I dont think he is a big fan of Jennings but he has dealt with Anthony and Iverson with success. He is a pedigree with achip on his shoulder and he is a blue collar guy for a blue collar town! HIRE GEORGE KARL!

I'd be down with that. Is he even looking to get back into coaching though? I thought he had retired after his health issues.

Karl would be a great hire as long as you surround him with the right management team.

You get Larry Brown in there with him as the assistant GM and a strong, experienced scout like Bobby Knight and I think this team will win!

Brown and Karl both have ties to North Carolina.

Good thoughts. I would think something like this might work:

    HC: Isiah Thomas
    AHC: Lenny Wilkens
DefAC: Nolan Richardson (Lionel Hollins, if he's interested?)
    OffAC: Paul Westphal
    PD-Bigs: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
    PD-Wings: Adrian Dantley
    Vid/W.O.AC: John Beilein recommendation(?)

    GM: George Karl
    AstGM: Larry Brown
    DirB.O.: Dork Elvis's top man(?)
    DirSco: Bobby Knight
    AdvSco: Jerry Sloan
    Sco: R.C. Buford's top man(?)
    DirB.D.: Greg Kampe

    *Consultant: John Beilein

Who knew John Beilein was such a power broker for video coordinators?
