Simple truth... you need a hard faught win... don't count on a Euro to come up with a play to get it done (unless your name is Dirk)... they're the ones fumbling the pass. Tough players get it done.
I didn't get done until almost 3 am, i was literally falling asleep in my chair... I'll find the Zaza play tonight when I go home. I forgot!
By the way, roscoe, you were wondering who that Cedric Bozeman guy was who came off the bench for the Hawks last night--he was one of UCLA's starting guards in their run to the national title game last year (the other one, Jordan Farmar, comes off the bench for the Lakers now). But that Solomon Jones dude who also played last night wasn't someone I'd ever heard of. He's a rookie from South Florida. I assume that he and Freije were getting playing time because Marvin Willians and Josh Childress were both out with injuries.
Good win by the Pistons. A couple more wins and it will feel like we have a playoff team on our hands. Thank God!
what i like is the pistons' play in crunch time. like max, they are executing beautifully, forcing the other team to make mistakes, and closing out games. last year we'd often get huge leads and then just coast through the rest of the game, and we weren't really tested. dumars is doing a lot more watching this year from what i can tell. my seats are half a section over (and the first row in front of) the suite that he sits in to watch games. he's been there every game so far, whereas last year i don't even remember her watching all that much ... or i just never looked heh. also, it was fun seeing chauncey take several hawks players to school. especially zaza.
I liked Sheed at the end. He was upset with a call and responded with a screening frenzy. I believe there were three in a row where he put the guard to the floor.
