I dunno, it was one game against Rodney Stuckey and a pretty bad Pistons team.

If a guy shoots a lot, he will tend to score a lot, particularly if he is a SG in the NBA.

I mean, look at Houston. They have less talent than we do. Harden is going to take 20+ shots a night, every night. Without him, they have very little chance of winning.

I'd like to see him do this 3 or 4 nights in a row.

He made it look really easy.

Careering it in your first game after a FA signing has to be very satisfying.

Was at the game. You had to have seen this live to appreciate Harden. He is head and shoulders above any SG we have had in Detroit in 30+ years. You had to look at the scoreboard to see how many points he actually had because he played so smoothly it seemed as if he only scored about 15 points. He's not a gunner, he's just really, really GOOD!

I agree. Harden isn't flashy, so I think people underestimate how good he really is. Smooth as silk.

So, are you sticking with your observation that Houston got hosed in the trade or not? :stirthepot:

He's better than Joe Dumars? I saw Joe play in the Finals twice, and he was amazing. Particularly the time we beat the Lakers.

I never said Houston got hosed. I said, OKC made out like bandits. OKC gave up a great player for a good one, and a player who could be great, and 2 1st rdrs.

Not even close. Especially when you consider who Harden is surrounded with.

Harden was surrounded by some pretty good players in the postseason last year.

He was, and he was 6th man of the year. I think that he sacrificed a lot of his game to play with Durant and Westbrook. Hindsight being 20/20, this may become a case where Westbrook should have been moved for a PG who could maximize the talents of Durant and Harden.

Yea I had to do the quick math... In my old age thought maybe Joe had been retired that long. I also remember watching Harden play just a few months back in a finals.... Rip played better then that Harden did.... lets not take game 1 of a season and order his bust for the Hall of Fame quit yet.

Two games in and the Beard has 77 points. I'll wait to order the Hall of Fame bust until the Allstar break.

45 pts tonight............................. I'm not going by stats guys. If you ever see him play up close and live you'll see that this dude is just SICK! And seeing as how Kobe and Wade aren't getting any younger, he'll be the best SG in the league in 2 yrs.
