    No surprises there.

Although my big concern is we will fail to address the 5 position in our haste to add Gordon.

Another player on the level of Kwame, especially if they are younger and have at least a little scope to improve, is all I am expecting.

As Roscoe likes to point out, we need the bench pushing the starters for minutes, and I don't like the thought of Kwame being our only Center.

I think Rip has tons of value in exchange for somebody.
Rumors are we may throw him to Utah for Boozer.

Agreed Cloud. Some people here (not naming names) try to make it out as if Rip is Eddy Curry.

I think Rip may stay now that he got rid of MC.

I want him GONE, with about 20 letter O's. :)

But even I will admit his trade value.

In fact, I'm counting on it. LOL.

    I think so too.

Joe needs to name a coach before any FA signings.

It's a tricky situation; it might be better to get the team set and then name the coach who will work best with the lineup.

I didn't like the part at the very end about the possibility of Sheed going to the Celtics. I would hate them even more if that happens.

It will be more interesting watching random NBA games next season with all the Detroit players scattered around the league.

    CB on the Nuggs
    Sheed on Orlando
    Rip and Maxiell on Toronto
    AI on Charlotte
    Amir on the Bucks
    Darko on the Knicks
    Big Ben on Phoenix
    Dyess on ______ some contender

If we do sign BG, Rip will most likely be traded for a Center(hopefully.)
Here are some possible trade situations involving Rip.

Rip to LA Clippers for Chris Kaman and Mardy Collins(filler)
    NBA Trade Machine - ESPN
Clipps have a definite lockjam of bigs with Griffin coming in. Plus, there really is no SG in place over there.

Rip to New Orleans Hornets for Tyson Chandler.
    NBA Trade Machine - ESPN
New Orleans saves only about $500,000 in cap relief, but hey it's a start, right? Plus, Chris Paul is exactly the type of PG Hamilton needs to succeed greatly.

Yeah Locstah me either. Hopefully Sheed will end up in San Antonio, at least I have more respect for them than Boston plus, we will only see Sheed once a year.

You know how all ex-players have something to prove when they leave the Pistons.

I don't know if it's so much that they have something to prove. It's more about how the Pistons always seem to make a case for how they don't need a guy, get rid of him, and then get torched...lol

With new contracts downsized in this economy, what FA would sign without knowing who the coach is?

Who has 'torched' us thus far?

Uh...# 1 (although, we did win the game)

then, yearly dead weight Joe Smith constantly kills us
Atkins came back and lit us up (as much as I hated him)
Dennis Rodman...a blast from the past

one of the more notable exceptions....Darko

Guys come back and have killer games against us a lot. It's not like we have to play a 7 game series against solely ex-Piston players.

One time Joe Smith torched us wearing sunglasses.

Chauncey Billups (he went for 30(L) and 34(W) against us last year. 34 was his season high)

And yeah, Darko did some damage in the playoffs against us, but that was a little flukey.

And Ronald Dupree should be an all-star based on that one game he had with Chicago that one year back in the day.

Regular season mean nothing accolades aside, we both know not one of Joe Dumar's castoffs has moved on to another team to do anything but be another playoff loser.

Not one has proven that they are so much of a team oriented winner that they led their new squad to anything but more of what they led us to. Playoff disappointment.
