Glyniadkais 10 points PJ Ramos 14 points Neat stuff... http://www.nba.com/dleague/games/20051116/FAYROA/recap.html
thanks for taking the time to post that. I think we still have the rights to Glynny. I saw something written to the extent that we waived him, but I don't think that is correct. Anyone know for sure?
Lee Yes, Glynny was definitely waived by Detroit. Here's an article I found that comments on it. The following is a quote from the article; "Glyniadakis is one of three Roanoke players who were cut from NBA training camps last month. He was waived by the Detroit Pistons, who drafted him in the second round in 2003. He hadn't joined them for camp until this year because he was under contract in Greece." And this from a Detroit news article; "The Pistons waived center Andreas Glyniadakis on Tuesday. It's not a shock because he wasn't in contention for the final roster spot. Glyniadakis, the 58th overall pick in 2003, made a good impression in camp. He is likely to return to Europe or his native Greece to play pro ball."
Lots of papers copied wrong information The term waived is not appropriate. You do not put a guy on the waiver wire who is not even signed to a contract. Glynny was only signed for camp. We can release his rights. As far as I know, we did not release his rights and he is still our 2nd round pick.
Glynny put up 14 pts against our D-league affiliate (Fayetteville)... he's playing forward... held the Patriots forward to 6 pts. Go Glynny! :^)
