I get cold just thinking about those frozen banana membranes.
What exactly is "around" supposed to mean, anyways?
Nice topic, by the way. :D
I swear, George only tells us this stuff, because he gets off on weirding out the fans, the ones who actually pay attention to what he says.
Who knew you could dump a frozen fruit salad in your shorts to speed up recovery from injury?
I want to know the story behind the discovery of that treatment method.
Well the Chargers LaDamlian Tomlinson has a detached tendon in his groin...Arne flew out early to California to see LT and it will be game time decision tonight if the frozen bananas did heal him enough to play vs the Colts tonight
For everyone who doesn't get this, apparently Arnie Kander is pressing a frozen banana against Richard Hamilton's groin to promote healing.
And no, I am not making that up. I couldn't make that up if I tried.
Where does Arnie find this stuff? He must be creeping around with some jungle-mama somwhere.
I know Rip is a star but couldn't he press the banana on his groin by himself.
Sure, if he named the banana.....Naww, I ain't even gonna go there.
Well, it's actually a frozen banana skin. Or skins.
I believe the bananas themselves are up for grabs.
I think this is old school stuff Roscoe. As a person who defintely believe in the Arnie Kander school of homedics, I can relate.
He just gave me a new method for treating muscles, I am gonna try it.
I drink Beet juice (1oz) every day for general health and blood pressure control.
2 tsp of vinegar in 1 oz water for controlling blood pressure
Pine tar sap to treat any type of sore muslecs, works wonders
For sore and tired feet and hands, dip your feet/hands in melted candle wax (hot as you can stand it) let sit for 10 minutes, softens your skin and takes away soreness.
Arnie has nothing on me. lol
I wonder if Kander has ever tried that fake surgery by hand trick on any of the players. Couldn't be any worse than the rest of his placebo gimmicks.
I tried frozen bananas before. Just walked away with hurt peelings.
i remember one article on arnie that said his players often try to eat some of the stuff he puts on them. hard to believe that he is considered one of the best in professional sports, but it is fascinating, and he has proven himself. he should write a book.
frozen bananas sound good though. melt some dark chocolate on them. nice.
But what about the frozen banana? Its so exciting and unusual. Arnie is a freak!!
OMFG I was thinking the same thing yesterday when I watched this lol. Wayyy to much info George.
The frozen obstacle is in proportion to the muscle direction. At times and and with associative patterns of blood dilatations, can cause headaches. When this happens, the banana loses elasticity and begins to thaw.
Anyway that it is presented, the cold factor against any contusion, generally (the age of the muscle will vary) should only last for 20 minutes.
I wouldn't call them placebo gimmicks, lol.
Many of the items Arnie uses contain often overlooked natural ingredients in quantities that produce a desired method of action.
A great many pharmaceutical "drugs" in today's society are based on naturally occurring ingredients in plants. Kander is simply going to the source to get the real stuff. Some of the things I hear about him using in his cocktails are almost brilliant in the simplicity of it all by todays standards. You know it's going to work and what it's function is, you just never thought of putting it in the blender and pouring it on your groin.
