Yes not a great picture there but still there is not much flattering to say about it.

Maybe its me getting spoiled by the rest of the Piston annoucers. I would rank him dead last even out of all the radio guys. He is better than Laimbeer at least.

I LOVE Lamb's colour commentary! Nothin' "Laim" about Lamb! Dude is a homer to the core, but I love it.

At least he can string a sentence together, unlike Mahorn. Man, that guy is the NBA commentator version of George Forman.

"Well.... he threw that punch.... like... like a guy.... that was.... boxin'.... and ... and throwin' punches...."

Buddy should stick to what he does best. Eating, Selling Lean Mean Grillin Machines and making babies named George Jr.

i was at that game in chicago. There were 2½ minutes left in OT, the Pistons were 8 points down, and all of the Chicago fans heckling us. my friends and i sat there smiling, knowing what was about to happen. the pistons won, and suddenly all of the Detroit fans were coming out of the woodwork and high-fiving and chanting DEEEEEEEETROIT BASKETBAAAAALL in the halls. great times.

    Nice one.

My favourite (although I can't remember the exact details), it might have been the J-Max jam against T.O. or maybe on AJ's windmill, where Fred screamed like a girl. That one was classic.

Mahorn is the greatest color comentator to ever grace AM radio. My personal favorite. Blaha's reaction to some of the stuff Ricky says is priceless, too. Hands down, my favorite broadcast team.

I like him but he never says much. Comments on calls and not much else.

Its a tough job though. You have to talk continuously. No dead air time.

Despite all the criticisms, I wll miss Freds's homer enthusiasm. He and Kelser were a perfect mix and match for Pistons broadcast!!

Dang everytime someone posts a Youtube link, I spend another hour there wasting time pulling up other video links and watching those. Now I have been sitting here for awhile watching various Pistons videos and here is one that will bring back some memories

We can only dream that a possible dynasty would be in place if we had these guys backing up the 2005 and 2006 starters.:ohwell:  .

Wow, seeing that video REALLY reminds me of how badly we need a bench. The energy and excitment that those guys brought was intoxicating.

    Thanks for that LA!

I think the bad lighting for that pic was intentional to keep her fan mail down :eyebrows: Fred insisted!

I hope you didn't post that within eyeshot of Mrs. Linwood! :)

Go to bed early sometime and wake up in time to catch one of her traffic reports

I'm almost as curious about Fred's replacement as Sidney Lowe's :eyebrows:
