Football in America: How do we really feel?
Interesting...coverage concerning Montana's 6 man football on a 40 by 80 yard field. Or as we call it...grassy basketball. Overall' article is tedious because I had to read about the commish's daughters playing lacrosse. I personally feel that football will end up as a club sport... doing away with the pads and physical contact within...I'd say... 25 years or so. This is not because I'm struggling in FF this year.
I think the whole concussion thing is BS. We don't really care about the homeless, we don't do anything about the environment which is slowly killing us all, we don't do much about crime and drugs, we don't care what dictators do to millions as long as they don't mess with our oil, yet we care about dog fighting (but not the incidental torture of billions of animals used for food and clothing) more and football concussions! Q: Why?? A: Because we as a species are clueless hypocritical idiots!!! Nobody holds a gun to someones head and says "play football". It's a gamble. You play it for fun and some for the chance at riches, fame, and/or glory. It is something that brings joy to our lives. Is it tragic when someone is paralyzed or suffers brain damage? Yes. Of course.fix the world. Save or enrich the lives of the entire planet. Human or wils animal, and/or plants. Then worry about sports injuries.
Wow. So much energy!
Hyperbole. Of course you can address the issues inherent in professional football while also debating and calling attention to issues in other areas of the world. It's not zero-sum.
This is exactly why we're in trouble ^^^
If only we had a dictator like you in charge of the world.
We may at that...
