Wonder if we'll have another Delfino/Mo-like battle. mlive says he'll back up the 1 and the 2 so shouldn't affect Delfino right?
Maybe this is why Delfino said he wants out? Can't see Murray being cappable at the 3, but I'm sure Flip will do it anyways. The article says he'll be Chauncey's backup, but he's too much of a chucker to play the point. I'm pissed.
Just worried about them going to a three-guard lineup at times: Flip, Rip and Bip. More ever-loving jump shots for the Saunders' playbook.
This is disappointing but there wasn't a lot out there for the Bi Annual Exception. I'm sure we will be buried in a "Flip is this, Flip is that" media blitz over the next couple days.
Excellent offseason so far for the Pistons: Lose Ben Wallace, gain Mohammad and another Flip. Oh yeah, lost Mo.
Ok, I just re-read this slower. Either ASB got too much sun today or someone at the Palace is ghost writing for him. Flip is not a PG. He's a SG. An undersized volume scorer. Why all this perfume on a pig? Call it as it is... Change of pace player? I can seem him fitting in with the starting guards shooting 30% in the playoffs. In fact, he just might shoot a lower % than Ben did FTs in last year's playoffs. We have 4 PGs. Billups, Blalock, Hunter and Murray (). And we lose Ben and probably Cato/Darko for Nazr Mohammed. Oh man...
Acker is a SG. Murray is a PG. Flip Saunders is a trainer, and Joe D will be playing center this year... GOD ONLY KNOWS.
Flip "change of pace" Murray. I guess he's a change of pace guard because the other team starts scoring a lot faster once he gets in?
Well folks, I pulled his stats and there is a lot to be impressed about. He's a career 71.5% FT shooter. He's a career 27.2% 3P shooter. A monster 41% from the field. In 17 playoff games, he's shot 31.3% Here are the rest of his stats. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/m/murraro01.html I need to find a meat grinder for my brain. Be back in a bit.
