I live IN Canada and that hasn't helped me much this season. :hanged2:

Well, if you'd drop your bias against the Leafs, maybe that would help.

Also, being from Canada puts you in the middle of the forest. Hard to see the forest with all the trees.

As a Habs fan, it's built into my DNA to hate the Leafs. Nothing I can do about that. Not that I would if I could.

I'd rather finish in last place without a Leaf on my team than win the league with one.

I'd also like to go on record as saying that only having one IR spot really sucks. :crying:

I've had the same problem with the IR myself. Not sure having more slots would do much except
let me stash a few guys there. The minute a good player goes on the IR, I'd stash him there so I could
use him later in the season. I'd keep building my team that way.

I love when the 2nd-to-last place guy is giving advice to the last place guy.

    Misery loves company.

Do you realize just how close second place is to last place?

Junior's in a different league. Can you push him down the stairs? Pull his groin?

Actually, Junior is away at college so I can't push him down the stairs. The best I could do is send him a text message and tell him that we converted his bedroom into an exercise room. Perhaps that will stress him out and cause him to make illogical moves with his fantasy hockey team.

Away at school. Must mean he's not going to the same school as the one you teach at. Smart kid!

You know, there is a reason that is says "All-Star" below my forum name and it says "Bench Warmer" below your name.

I probably shouldn't ask, but what IS the reason. Other than that you must have something on Roscoe.

Actually, Rascoe's forum has some automated intelligence sensing technology that evaluates each post and classifies it according to the value added to the forum. Based on the quality of your posts, the software has recognized your contributions at the "Bench Warmer" level.

We should sell that technology to the Pistons and the Lions. They certainly need it.

I wonder if Junior would like a copy. Although I think he already knows where it would lead.

"automated intelligence sensing technology" - is that something like artificial intelligence? I sense
we get a lot of "artificial" intelligence from some posters. Not naming any names, "just sayin'. "

    Well, lookie here....

Just checked the standings. I got me some "shark meat" !!

And, I see that I'm now ahead of Darth, Beer, and Jammer. My chief antagonists.

Seems like Beer was commenting about the send-to-last team, only it's not second-to-last anymore.

Beer and Darth are always "buggin'" me. Well, the windshield just got'em.

Makes for an enjoyable Christmas season and I'm goin' to enjoy it for however long it lasts.

    Thanks, guys!!!

You got to check this site regularly!! No telling what your old man is up to.
Can you trust your mom to keep him under control?
You may need to keep a bed roll as a backup!

    Merry Christmas!

It's funny. I think I spent less than two hours getting prepared for this draft. I only juggled a couple of things. That was moving up a couple of goalies. I. Got the 4th pick so the guys it wanted went top 3. So I did a one two with Lundqvist and Jimmy Howard . They both are terrible and I've got the worst goaltending in the league. But my other guys are holding their own even though I neglected them in the draft. So average there.

I rarely check my stats and even forgot to take DL guys to the bench. I've made a couple of moves mostly moving around one defensive spot. I hate going to our league page. Basically, I've never cared about this team and have treated the team like a red headed step child. I've never ever done anything like this with my teams in any fantasy hockey league. I just don't care and I don't know why. The last couple of days I try to motivate myself to do things. So I have.

The amazing thing is my team is in bloody fifth-place out of 8!!!!! Right in the middle of things and would be in a playoff position if they were held today. What a waste of a spot. I feel like I should be in last place. I know a couple people under me have made lots of moves so they must be having bad luck. So it is not like people below me care any less than I do. Maybe I will start trying soon. But I just don't have the stomach for it. I can't understand it.

My best player is a guy I picked up as a free agent before the season even began. But he got injured I guess. This whole thing starting with the goalies being terrible does not make any sense.

I wondered when you were going to wake up.

There's a few of us who shift guys around aimlessly just to show our interest.

I'd be having fun if my team would play better. Every time I set my lineup on Sunday, I find out
on Monday that key players are injured. Too late to adjust. Actually, the league is quite close except
for Junior at the top and Beer at the bottom. I hope he doesn't hurt the kid. And leave his
    bedroom alone!!
