We plan to play on Yahoo, but here are the ESPN rankings for you early birds. Definitely some surprises on here, if you ask me. 2010 Fantasy Hockey Rankings & Projections - Free Fantasy Hockey - ESPN I'll be the commissioner, although I will gladly hand over the reins to anyone else that is interested in trying it. 1. Weekly lineups (No Tatering) 2. A regular draft (no auction draft - whatever that is. No selling your soul for some player.) But what do I need to do to guarrantee that I get Lidstrom and Zetterberg??? 3. more to follow
Weekly lineups plus regular draft. Yep. I plan to make very few changes from last year except a no goalie minimum (instead of the 3 we started with last year). I'm wondering if stat whacker will be free like it is in football this year? I'm toying with the idea of a couple extra categories, but we will see. Most likely everything will stay the same.
You're supposed to talk more smack when you are behind, since you have nothing to lose. I had a problem with last year's system. It was either the roster spots or the scoring. It wasn't a big deal, but I will have to go back and look. Whatever it was, it was relatively minor.
Ok, let me know. Last year I remember having a lot of roster spots to increase the action, but it was a small league so there was plenty of talent available. I'll do my best to make sure everyone is comfortable with the settings.
I hope stat wacker is $100, as I never use it, and it'll make all you overachievers pay big time for your hobby. The no goalie minimum is O.K. However, I wonder if someone gets a really good goalie, with a good defense, he could dominate the stats by only playing one goalie. That might mean giving up the wins column, but win the other three. But, with weekly lineups, the guy would have to play all the games, and not just sit out after one shutout early in the week.
Bezeach is the beach bum who is outside on his skateboard chasing the chicks. Too busy to talk smack with the likes of us. Also, I enjoyed talking smack just as much when I was winning as when I was loosing. The fact that it makes me seem like a jerk doesn't bother me at all.
You're right Woody. We went around in circles with this last season too. I'm fine with a two game minimum too. Three games really screwed some people over last year and I had to change it. You guys let me know what you think is best.
I think Roscoe's problem last year was with the goalie minimum, which Tater changed mid-stream. His other problems were not so easily correctable.
Obviously, the system was deeply flawed. You only need to look at who won it last year to figure that out.
