This is open to ALL forum memb

We had a TE last year. I can't imagine it was anything but an oversight?

    I forgot TE.

    Roster would look like:

    1 qb
    2 rb
    3 wr
    1 te
    1 flex
    1 k
    1 def
    5 bench

Cool, is the flex RB/WR or RB/WR/TE?

I would recommend flex be W/R/T.

If somebody wanted to draft Graham and Gronk, it would be unfair to have to sit one of them.

It adds another element of strategy and versatility, as the flex option should do!

Hmm, but isn't TE fairly thin these days between the top 3 or so and the rest? Feels like there will be a lot of TE streaming in that league. Almost worthless.

I respectfully disagree. With the 2 flex options at W/R/T last season, the top two teams both carried two top ten TEs, respectively.

Actually, @Darth Tater@Darth Tater, who won the league, carried Jordan Cameron and Vernon Davis, the 4th and 5th best TEs. Both top 40 players for the season, being more than qualified for a ten-team flex spot where 2 RBs, 3 WRs, and 1 TE are used.

Debt Team, who finished second, carried Jason Witten and Greg Olsen, both top 10 TEs.

Of the top 5 TEs, Julius Thomas finished with the 2nd most fantasy points of any TE and went undrafted. Jordan Cameron finished with the 4th most points and went in the 15th round (nice pick Tater).

I don't think it would be right to penalize a team that drafts a stud TE early in the draft and then picks up a sleeper late in the draft or on the waiver wire and then does not have the opportunity to put this player in his lineup, if he finds success.

Now you see why I went with 1 starter WR,RB,TE and 4 flex. Draft the best whatever.

Jammer never got back which tells me he is busy so I don't want to bug him.

I believe Webz is still in limbo..
    Mogilny stated he was out.

For those of you who did never played fantasy football or don't know the players in the NFL can still win and do well. I was a rookie in my very first fantasy football league. It was outside this forum and struck gold. Last year Detteam got a silver in hockey even though he was the rookie in the league. It happens all the time. In fact I took gold in my first football, basketball, hockey, AND baseball. My problems come in when I actually KNOW the players. I know there are some people here who have never played and don't want to look bad. If you enjoy fantasy basketball that's fine but there is nothing like fantasy football. Come on. No excuses! You have guys like Rasco and me playing with half a brain. Give it a try!!!!

So eight is enough, (where have I heard that before). I think most of us would prefer ten. It would be nice but honestly it isn't that big a deal to me.

    * I want to remind people that this is open to all forum members even if we don't know you. It's a good way to meet people. All skill levels are welcome. We only ask one thing. That you stick with it even if your team is doing poorly. I.E. Just that you please set your lineup each week. We have people ranging from " hey, it's something to do" to "I will spend my every waking hour preparing for the draft and each contest" but I think we all do about the same anyhow.

I still only count 8 confirmed on the home page. Plus we lose 1/2 for Rascoe and I so it's only 7 when you think about it (At least I THINK it is. I keep getting stuck about half way to the answer) :tinfoil3:

Why is Thee TFD using my championship trophy as his avatar? I wonder if I can sue him for copyright infringement? :caked:

I agree about drafting sleepers you can't use - frustrating! And to clarify, I wasn't saying TE's are worthless in general. I was actually worried that the talent pool would become too thin too quickly and make them too valuable - similar to having 2x QB's in a deeper league. You might just end up seeing 10 TE's drafted by the end of the 2nd or 3rd round. If people want a league where TE is potentially the most important position that's cool... just a thought.

In the past three years, you have only ever drafted Jamaal Charles, Adrian Peterson, Peyton Manning, and Aaron Rodgers in your first two picks.

Solid strategy. Luckily, you've also received the 3rd, 2nd, and 3rd picks, the last three years.

I would be intrigued to see what happens if you get a first round pick in the 8-10 range, where you have the opportunity to take a top receiver like Calvin or a top TE like Jimmy Graham.

...now that the secret is out...time to brainstorm new strategies!

Do you want me to psychoanalyze your mindset on draft day based on the past data?
