Last year, there were 14 points available per week.
Pitchers got points for W, L, CG, S, K, ERA, WHIP
Batters got points for R, HR, H, RBI, SB, BB, AVG

It's not set up like football. It's set up like basketball or hockey. (I'm not sure if you've played either of those before, but if you haven't, let us know and we can explain it in further detail.

Basically, It's not a "you win or you lose" type of deal. If you own Cabrera and the Tigers play 7 times that week then Cabrera's stats add up and all your player's totals are added together through Sunday.

So if there are 14 categories (as Bill listed), you could win 9-5 or lose 3-11, or whatever. There is a lot more action than in football because teams play just about every day.

So the home runs, eg., are added up during the week for all your batters and you end up with 8-15 usually. If you've got more than your opponent, then you win that one category. Then there are categories for RBI's etc.

Pitchers are scored differently. They only get pitching stats (even if they are in National League and bat during any game).

Bill or I can answer any other questions you have.

Thanks for the free commercial spot, Rascoe.

Sometimes I think they need to quarantine the entire lot of us, but other times I think they should just let the forum charge admission and start our own three ring circus. :juggle: :juggle: :juggle: :juggle: :juggle:

I'll play if it is on CBSsportline. It has a points basis rather than categories, it has a deeper list of players, and having to set your lineup for the week rather than everyday is a nice perk.

Would be glad to have you join but I believe it is on Yahoo. However, Yahoo does give you the option of setting weekly rather than daily lineups. We've done both in the past. I dunno what Laimbeer is doing...but he never knows what he is doing either.

    Simple formula:

    1. You sign up.

    and then

    2. You play Jammertime every week.

Draft all of the Philly players and hold them hostage to gain better players in trade with Darth.

I am okay with weekly lineups if that would help reel in a few more players.

That strategy worked well for you last year, nemo.

Mid-year, you gave me the Eagles defense which you drafted about 3 rounds to soon for my Buffalo defense which I picked up off the FREE AGENT wire about TWO HOURS earlier on the day you made the offer! :fish:

Weekly or daily. I have no preference.
