I moved one of my 3 injured guys to the DL spot, so I had a roster opening.

Middle of the pack after one week.
Had the highest batting average and RBIs, but second worst ERA.......
Took hitting categories, but lost all pitching.

Interesting to see how others did.
Surprised to see how the standings worked out.

    Hji,

Last week I had a 9-2 lead on Jammer through the first half of Sunday. My last 4 or 5 batters went 0-15 while Cabrera killed me. Ended up 5-4. Biggest choke I've ever seen. :hanged2: Shocking. It certainly didn't FEEL like a victory, but beating Jammer Pants is always nice.

nemo, you were dogging my relievers last week. I noticed I had 4 Saves and 1 Hold to your 1 Save and 0 Holds. Hmmmm...

My Stolen Bases were sick. I had 11 last week! That was about as much as the rest of the league got total. :bow1:

Too bad the rest of my batting stats were very average.

You have one of the best hitting team as of ONE week nemo. My pitching was unbelievable last week. Yours was terrible. On the surface it looks like my pitching against your hitting this week. However, of course, one week isn't much to go on. And anyhow, in baseball, I've often seen the great hitting teams win with weak pitching and lose hitting against the team with great pitching and poor hitting.

    ***********************************************************************************************************************************

Holds are weird guys. Did you know the following:

A hold is earned when a reliever comes into a save situation and gives way to another reliever without giving up the lead.
Holds are not an official MLB statistical category, so you may find that different statistical services use a different criteria.

To receive credit for a hold in Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Baseball, the pitcher must record an out.

Over the course of a season, you may find some unique scoring situations arise in your league:
    • A pitcher CAN earn both a loss and a hold in the same game.
    • A pitcher CAN earn both a win and a hold in the same game.

:flypig: I think last week was the first time ever in fantasy sports that I thought, "Man...I'm sure glad I didn't play Rascoe this week"!! :flypig:

A "hold" are the cards you keep in draw poker..........
A "hold" is a place where prisoners are kept on a cruise ship.

I've got 3 starters left to pitch this week. Hopefully, they all do well and improve my position against my opponent. I got one big hitter on the DL and another playing like he belongs there. The rest of my players have to step it up to make sure that I do well this week. Darth is always tough competition. I would love to steamroll him this first matchup.

Lucky me. I get you when Kershaw goes twice.

Your pitching is tops so far this week. Mine, at this point would be ahead of every other team. More good luck

I deserve whatever happens to me based on my hitting. It's about the worst in my experience.

My last 4 batters Sunday went 0 for 15. Costing me several categories.

    Monday they were fine.

Then Tuesday they went 3 for 29, or something.

Then Wednesday I'm not sure, but i think they got like 5 hits out of 40.

Disgraceful. I was telling someone that if my guys had gone 20 for 85 instead of 7 for 85, I would be worried. But I KNOW that NOBODY can possibly be THIS bad!! 7 for 85 has got to be just one of those things. Maybe it is a good thing. Maybe they are getting their choking out of the way these first couple of weeks instead of waiting until September.

It looks like it is time to change my team name. It made a HUGE difference for my football team. From 2-5 to a silver medal. Can lightning strike twice for me??
