There is some kind of technical problem with PF.com. I can still see Darth's pointless posts despite having him on my ignore list.

    S.O.S.

Is there anyone outside of our league who is willing to adopt an orphaned team? PLEASE??

One of our managers has not set their lineups since drafting their team and we are now in week 6 of 22.

I've sent emails and private messages to the person over the last couple weeks but haven't heard a reply.

I'm not going to judge them because maybe they have a very good reason, but it looks like we need a replacement manager. The team isn't bad, but it needs to be tweaked and lineups need to be set.

This would be a great time to not only help your forum members, but also to try out fantasy sports if you haven't already. Nobody is going to razz you if you mess up because nobody expects you to do anything with the team. Nothing to lose.

    Please help!!!

    Thanks.

Thanks for posting this, Darth. It's nice to be able to put a name to a victim.

    What's up, Seattle?

Thank you again C.J. You stepped up to the plate really quickly.

Oops...I accidentally gave you Laimbeer's team. :pound: Just kidding. Breathe Bill...breathe.

The [STRIKE]Los Angelas Dodgers [/STRIKE] Keewenau Tigers are now known as "C J's Tigers".

The move was necessary due to the inactivity of the previous owner. I'm not sure why they signed up for a team, drafted it, and then let it whither away, but we are all very grateful to Coyne Jeremy for taking over.

Just an FYI: I waited until right before I was scheduled to play Keewenau to ask him to set his lineup so that it would be fair to the rest of the league if a change was necessary. (Of course, my anticipated "easy win" against a guy with half a lineup all week was decided by the slimmest of margins).:yellowprison: Playing my team is very therapeutic for others because my team brings out the best in others. Happy to do it.NOT!!

I am cracking up here about how little I know about baseball. You guys are about to hit the jackpot. Watch out for the waiver wire gems from the Tigers. I don't recognize 95% of the names on my roster. Ryan Howard? Get rid of this guy - oh wait he's on the can't cut list. Guess I HAVE to keep him. Who else can I cut...

First of all, you could have moved Hughes to the DL and picked up another player.

Secondly, you can put "hot" players on your Watch List so that you can keep an eye on them. Of all of those clowns that you just picked up, none of them were on my Watch List. That means that you really are a know-nothing or you are getting advice from Darth (or both).

I guess I will have to listen to everything you say because you have two trophies next to your name and I only have one. :)

Thanks for the heads up on the DL position Bill. I just looked it up and it looks like a great way for me to stash junk players that I don't have the heart to cut.

My goal is to help you get that 2nd trophy.

Oh my goodness. This league is going to be too easy this year. Besides Darth, Rascoe and Jammer, now we have CJ in the mix. The engravers are already putting my name on the trophy. :pound:

You can only keep one guy on the DL spot at a time, C. J.

The way it works is once he is off the DL in real life (if you picked up an extra player), you can't add players or even make lineup changes until you take him off the DL...which is only possible when you dump the extra player.

    OK, who's on first...:stooges:

So what you're saying is you can't use it as an extra bench spot if the guy gets taken off his team's DL.

Right now I have no pitching bench. Is that because my bench spots are being used up by my hitters? Can I share my bench spots between pitching/hitting as I will?

You can split your 5 bench spots anyway you choose between hitters and pitchers. That's part of the strategy.

Hey all! I want to apologize to everyone in the Fantasy Baseball league for my lack of follow through and commitment. I am very busy during the summer and I knew that upon requesting a team, I just should have passed. I always look forward to the fantasy sports on the forum, but I should have used my better judgement! Hope all is well, I haven't been on much lately. Thanks for understanding! Good luck everyone!

You should have gone for the "Frank McCourt vs Tom Schieffer/Bud Selig" angle. That would have been entertaining.

Seriously Tater, stop being a martyr. You've been carrying the burden of Jose Bautista for too long now. Trade him to me and be done with it. You deserve better.
