Gotta give Darth a point for that one. He got you there Bill. I've update the all-time head-to-spud score: Bill 3,417 Darth 1
I'm going to be very good at this by next year. Mark it down. And I have very good defensive stats. They just don't count them in fantasy baseball, so there. Defenseless girl. Harumphf. Don't forget that I have Adam Dunn on my team. So there. And I haven't been stupid enough to dump him yet. So there. (yikes)
[STRIKE]That no good piece of (bleep)[/STRIKE] Bill is absolutely correct, C.J. My team usually finds new ways to lose categories on Black Sunday's even up to the last out of the week. The current score isn't indicative of how close our match really is. Once again, thanks for helping us out!!
Drath, your team ERA and WHIP are both INFINITY. I don't think that's good, from what I hear. According to StatTracker, though, you are still winning both of those categories. Poor Kimmie.....
Our league is broken. They haven't applied last week's results to the standings yet and the playoffs are starting in a few minutes. Hope they get this fixed. I'm not sure if this is a Yahoo-wide thing or just our league. I sent an email to Yahoo notifying them of our problem.
Thanks for posting Billiam. I was just about to do that. I've been checking all morning. It's a universal problem. People are complaining and asking what is wrong via the message boards but Yahoo keeps deleting their questions and comments like they are trying to cover it up. It's like everyone is panicking including Yahoo. I'm concerned too but there is nothing we can do. I promise to keep checking and keep you updated. You can still add/drop players and adjust your lineups. Hang in there. Hopefully Yahoo corrects the problem soon and posts an update on our league pages rather than hide what is happening.
"Scott" at Yahoo Support responded saying they are working on the problem and at this time have to update leagues manually on by one and that my "patience is appreciated"....." Someone responded to this thread... "At least you got Scott....it could have been Peggy!" Yahoo deleted all of this a second ago.
The league IS broken. My team is not in the playoffs. Thanks guys, it was fun. Good luck to all, even though that's impossible.
Thanks Bill. Talk about a close finish. Only 1 game separated me from the Laimbeer family! I can't believe the gap between 1st and 2nd though. I think that's the most impressive regular season performance I've seen. Congrats Tater. Too bad they don't give out prizes for 1st place in the regular season though, since I'll be winning the championship, leaving you with nothing.
Thanks, Jammer. IF we meet again this year, it will be in the finals. I'm still shaking from the last time we met there two seasons ago. I'm not at all nervous about the playoffs this year. I've come a long way since then and have a more mature attitude and different outlook on things. I no longer allow fantasy sports to "get inside my head". Just ask Aurora [STRIKE]or my therapist[/STRIKE]
It became necessary to go to unlimited text messaging to accomodate the voluminous traffic regarding pf.com fantasy basketball, fantasy baseball and now fantasy football between myself and the aboveforementioned person. Of course I can't say whether all these text messages are of a "more mature attitude and different outlook", perhaps so. For my part, mine are usually somewhat hysterical and pessimistic, for example "WTH happened to my hot starting pitchers this week?" "Is it really conceivable that my batters went 2/36 today? Really?" Anyway, I congratulate everyone who made the playoffs. My personal experience as a rookie of fantasy baseball is that it was way too many players to keep track of and much harder than basketball. It seemed to me that unless you have a really nice draft one is destined to spend many many hours in the Transactions Trends and Waiver Wire sections of Yahoo. Still, I had fun when my team wasn't totally horrible, and even when it was I had fun watching the front runners battling it out. Good luck to all as you go forward.
