Would he have had that string if Justin Verlander was pitching?

They were debating that very question on PTI earlier today.

Didn't want to start a new thread so I'm chiming in with this one here, Food for thought, Landry Fields is a free agent this summer.........he's better than Wilkins with a high hoop IQ and a dependable 3-ball...........

I wouldn't mind Fields, if we could get him cheap. He would allow us to go bigger at the 2, maybe replace, BG is the rotation, and feel comfortable with the fact that Daye just might continue to suck.

I don't expect Daye to be on next years roster.

Monroe is a shifting sand dune...hmmm...maybe we need to plant some trees around the sand dune.

In a way, re-signing Prince was like duct-taping a crack in the hose. The current appliance, as it is, will only go where its always gone...and its seen better days. He was known as the glue guy and he filled that role very well. On a team where there were egos and weapons, it fit perfectly. Now we need a leader and he is leading like a glue guy. Its like taking your vacuum cleaner and using it in the basement like a shop vac. No matter how admirably it performed in its prime, in its more demanding role, it just sucks.

However, the real cost of re-purposing an old appliance is that you don't invest in a new paradigm. Dumars refuses to go all tabula rasa on the team so they run in to well treaded roads that force guys to be like their predecessors. Ben, can he be like Rip. Stuckey or Knight...which one will do what Billups did. Monroe; these are different players and its a new generation. They are nothing like the Going to work guys anymore than the GTW guys were the Bad Boys.

So we are stalled in a kind of poor man's version of our better days. This is where the calls for Dumars' firing becomes understandable. Everyone goofs but Dumars is right in front of us holding on to something we want to turn over into something new. We'll never turn that corner as long as we keep trying to put versatile facilitators on the wing. We need a mid-long range weapon. Unless we expect CV do break out beyond ridiculous tweets and planking uploads.

So...Prince is duct tape and Monroe is a sand dune.

Uh, isn't a vacuum cleaner supposed to suck?

Maybe Tay is just sucking too... in a good way.

I agree with the fact that the poop scoopers are getting tired of some of those critters.
Need to mix some soil with the sand to make it more stable.......
Joe prefers to just let the wind blow and see where it takes the sand....
Many at PF prefer the comforting effects of Claritin,,,,,
It's time to throw out the vacuum cleaner and stop spending money on Claritin.

I buy a generic version of Claritin. Identical effect and so much cheaper.

Well, I don't think nemo's point was about generics per se, but it's certainly true that wholeheartedly substituting sand for clay can result in pooping outside the box.

It's just the illusion of certain probabilities collapsing as you acutely observe the word patterns.

So, is Vernon Macklin supposed to be the generic Claritin?

    Yet again, fueled by randomness.
