Gee, that's a whole lot of talent for a million per year.
That is as long as he spends 20+ min per game on court
It's the Amir/Daye show!
The Raptors just got a lot tougher.
English said he learned a lot during his season in Detroit, however. He sees himself filling the role of a knockdown shooter and defender, and credits former Duke swingman and 14-year NBA veteran Corey Maggette for showing him the ropes. “Corey Maggette, a seasoned veteran, showed me so much about being a shooting guard in this league,” English said. “We talked every day, every road trip…went out to eat, played 1-on-1 after practice. I just picked his brain as much as I could.” Kim English uses release from Pistons as fresh motivation - KansasCity.com
Now I miss Maggette.
Now I miss Kenny.
A Closer Look at Austin Daye, the Newest Toronto Raptor - Raptors HQ
3.9 PER? I'm not really sure that the author is being responsible here. In 2013, Daye played 8% of all available minutes at SF for the Pistons. He had a PER of 11.3. He played 0% (rounded) of all available minutes at PF and had a PER of 50.0. Obviously an incredibly small sample size. For the Grizz, he played 6% of available minutes at SF with a PER of 15.4. He played 1% of available minutes at PF and had a PER of 3.9. So, there are 2 samples that are about equal with him at PF. Neither is statistically relevant. One says 50.0 and the other says 3.9. Laughable.
There's not much there as he played little, so they have to come up with some serious analysis based on something, whatever it is.
Rapcast #166: Talking Austin Daye with Piston Powered; Raptors Master Plan | Raptors Republic: ESPN TrueHoop Network Blog
Daye will be out of the league soon and it won't even matter. I wish him luck and thank him for nothing.
He won a couple games with last second heroics and damaged our lottery odds.
Thanks for nothing.
Word Is Corliss Williamson Heads Back to NBA When I saw the title, got a bit worried that Joe is really "putting the team back together".
Here's another article on the Big Nasty. Corliss Williamson heading back to Sacramento - Yahoo! Sports I wish him all the success in the world. He's been one of my favorite Pistons.
