Luigi getting blocked by the backboard. Former Piston Luigi Datome with a must-see dunk fail
Glad he's not board with playing basketball
The Hornets 2-for-1 trade yesterday opened up a roster spot. Good luck to Ray. Charlotte Hornets sign Drive's Ray McCallum to 10-day contract
Well, let the trades begin. IMO, Miles will be an ugrade over Hibbert, for Charlotte. Good move for them. Mostly, Plumlee has been out of the rotation this season for Milwaukee. Now I know why they played him a bit recently.
Recently watched a couple replays of 2004 Finals games (in the background while playing Poker at a buddy's house... so half watching). In game 1, Lakers players not named Shaq or Kobe combined to score 16 total points in 148 minutes! In game 3, the Lakers' guards had 0 assists in the first half. It's kind of interesting watching now with no pressure, and with the perspective of the modern NBA. Prince really did play some great defense in his youth. He bothered the hell out of Kobe. I know that they changed the rules and all, but there is nothing that I saw watching the games that was very different. It was a far cry from the Bad Boys days. The 2004 Pistons team would still be a huge thorn in the side for the league if they could time travel to today's NBA. They would still be holding teams to embarrassingly low totals (maybe the mid 70's instead of the upper 60's). After I got home I went and looked at the +/- stats for the Finals that year: +64 Ben Wallace +49 Tay Prince +45 C. Billups +41 Rip Hamilton +30 Sheed Wallace +14 E. Campbell +7 M James +2 L Hunter -3 D. Ham -5 C. Williamson -6 M. Okur -7 D. Milicic So... it's not really true that our bench came up big for us. And Elden was in the negative in 3 out of the 5 games... just a GT outburst in the last game. Our starting 5 dominated. It was defense first, slow paced, possession value bball. We didn't double team.
Too Old at 33? Ben Gordon Grinds in the D-League for One Shot at NBA Comeback
Time to hang up the sneakers and start a new chapter...
Someone should sign him.
That would be funny.
He would have to be absolutely putrid to be worse than he was his first time through.
He was pretty good with the Bulls. Smite him if you want but I wish him luck.
He was a great 6th man. Like Bynum with a 3 point shot. We just overpaid him.
And miscast him. He is not a starter. He's a 6th man.
It went well for our marquee free agent signings. Chaz, Bengo and Smith are all out of the league.
So are Darko and Joe D.
And if @Ernie the Slow Adult and @Lee356 have their way, SVG too!
Watching Billups on NBA Countdown. Great analyst. His knowledge and delivery are perfect. Pretty comical to see Jalen Rose paired with him. Jalen always comes off as a flaming ass-clown.
Richard Hamilton would change way he left Detroit Pistons
I was watching Area-21 with KG and Rasheed a while back and I think they were talking about Durant signing with GS and the super teams in general. KG was talking about how the GTW Pistons were responsible for it. The C's formed because of Pistons and LeBron went to MIA to beat the C's.
I can't stand watching Area-21. That seems like the dumbest tv segment in the history of all tv segments.
