Since the SAS-GSW series starts tomorrow (Sunday), figured I'd kick off a thread. No predictions this time, but I'm rooting for the Spurs.

I'm rooting for the Warriors. Closest team to Seattle. Wanna get together and watch a game?

Actually, don't know if you got the memo, but with the Sonics gone, Seattle fans have to root for Portland.

Yup. Like how you have to root for the Wings if you live in Windsor. Everyone else in Ontario roots for the Leafs.

Actually, that is completely different ...

Kawhi has gone down. Spurs probably done.

I had recorded this game and if you guys have it recorded go to the 7 minutes left mark of the third quarter, I can't remember the seconds exactly but it was 7 something. Kevin D gets fouled (I can't stand him anymore ever since he dissed the Pistons last year in the playoffs) and he goes falling under the basket and a long haired guy in the stands in a really good seat has on a DETROIT PISTONS coat. I had to back it up to make sure I wasn't seeing things, but he most definitely was. I don't know who he was but I like him.

This was a cheap, dirty foul. Zaza should be suspended.

I'm no fan of Zaza or the Warriors, but it didn't look intentional. Zaza has a history of playing 'rugged' lets say, but the difference was guys like Bowen were right up in the shooters face whereas Zaza was making a relatively hard close out to the 3pt line. He didn't stick his leg out, but as a semi-mobile center he just doesn't have the ability to pull up as quick as smaller guys so his momentum carried him through. It sucks cos I'm rooting for the Spurs in this series.

I thought it was a clean, dirty play. He was in an acceptable grey area.

I think Zaza did it on purpose. It reminded me of the play in the 2003 playoffs, when Eric Snow of the Sixers undercut Chauncey.

To me, its just a reckless play. If you can't control your body in a way that doesn't endanger a person's livelihood, you shouldn't be on the floor.

    Beware the eternal Slav.

If he did, that is a baller move.

Goodbye contact sports! Hockey, Football, Basketball, pro-wrestling, amateur wrestling, boxing and tiddlywinks!

I always knew you had a thing against Lacrosse, the most patrician of contact sports.

I'd love to watch basketball with no physical contact. The uniforms can be frilly pink dresses, and they can host tea parties at midcourt during halftime.

I don't mind physical play. I love hard fouls. No free chili when a guy drives for a layup.

The problem I have with this play is the danger aspect of a serious injury. When a guy leaves the ground on a jump shot, you have to allow him to land.

The NBA has made an emphasis to call this, but I think it should upgrade this violation to a flagrant foul.

Normally, I'd love to man. But nowadays real life's demands allow me to watch half a quarter of every other game. That's also why all of my observations are spot on.

I don't think that is such a thing as a "clean dirty play". That was an intentional reckless play. It happens all the time in any sporting events. After the fact they all play the innocent "hard play" card. To me that's BS.

This is like telling Pistons fans to root for Cleveland if Pistons ever leave town.

The game was very poorly officiated IMO. A lot of BS calls. Mostly in the Warrior's favor but there were some really stupid calls that went the other way too.

Spurs without Kawhi is an order of magnitude weaker than the Warriors. They're also missing Parker. Despite all odds, this was almost a coaching win for the Spurs.

Without Leonard, Spurs get maybe one at home. If Leonard comes back, it's a toss up.
