The worst five minutes of baskeball ever. The bulls are in need of a scorer. Boozer is a loser. Well Mavs will get their opportunity.

This was the worst week ever for young teams as both the Thunder and Bulls lost their last 2 games in crunch time.

The young supa stars in Rose, Durant and Westbrook could not overcome the veteran super stars in Dirk, Lebron and Rose....

They will be there in the next 3 years, but they got to wait their turn.

Come on Kenny, get the fishing line out and don't forget to invite Oprah to give some comforting to Rose in that boat.

Thib needed to rest Rose a bit in the 2nd half. Again he played him the entire second half. If your only offense in the closing minutes of the game is going to be Rose ISOs, you gotta keep him fresh.

Boozer is a loser. He sucked so bad in this game.

The officiating wasn't too bad suprisingly. A few iffy calls, but most were right on the money. They even called traveling on Wade twice and once on LeBron which is unheard of.

Bulls desparately need to dump Kyle Korver and Carlos Boozer and get some real players to replace them.

Oh well, today ABM became Dallas.

It felt like a collapse, but let's take a look at the Heat's final possessions... they were on fire. They didn't miss a single shot after the 5:00 mark and had many 3's.

With 4:23 left, it was 73-63 Bulls. The Heat ended up with 83 points... so 20 points in 4:22 minutes. That's a almost a 200 point pace in the last 4:22 after going on a 70 point pace for the first 43 minutes.

    Last x possessions:

    • 4:22- Lebron draws a foul and goes to the FT line (1 of 2)
    • 3:36- Lebron draws a foul and goes to the FT line (1 of 2)
    • 3:03- Wade hits a running bank shot
    • 2:26- Wade hits a layup and gets fouled (0 of 1)
    • 2:07- Lebron hits a 3-pointer
    • 1:30- Wade hits a 3-pointer and gets fouled (1 of 1)
    • 1:01- Lebron hits a 3-pointer
    • 0:29- Lebron hits a long jump shot
    • 0:17- Bosh gets fouled (2 of 2)
That is about the most efficient execution that a team can possibly generate in crunch time. 20 points on 6 shot attempts and 9 possessions. 3.6 points per shot attempts/ 2.2 points per possession.

And it was all Lebron and Wade. It's amazing that Lebron was so non-clutch in the regular season and then he pulls off this one.

Even with that huge rush, the Bulls scored at a 75 points per 48 minute pace over the last 4:22, which was about the same pace that they went at for the whole game. So, not an offensive choke by them. IMO, just a ridiculous offensive stretch by Lebron and Wade.

I see it as a coaching victory and subsequent coaching loss. Spolestra has been able to convert his 9-9 team from a bunch of whiners into a bunch of winners. LeBron has stepped up his game in the closing weeks and the playoffs.
All of the drama seems to have melted away...just in time. The Bulls coach needed to have anybody but Rose take some of those important shots. Watching the final 3 point attempt of the game was sickening as everybody in the building knew that LeBron would again block Rose and his 3 point shot. I will be rooting for Dirk in the finals as LeBron does make me sick with his primping.

I loved that three from Brewer down the stretch. He knew the shot clock didn't reset, knew the situation, got the ball and got up a shot. Really nice heady basketball play that no one will remember.

Kerr and Miller kept talking about the Bulls being in charge when they were up by ten or eleven. Did anyone really believe that?

This is what we in poker refer to as "drawing dead and hitting a miracle".

If only there had been a scorer that was around for the team to pick up at the trading deadline.....

Rip at the 2 for Chicago which was the rumor of how things would have gone if he was traded to cleveland.....

I think you slot Rip in at the 2 for Chicago they go to the finals.... So Chicago is happier, Detroit is happier.... and most important us forum members would be happy :P

    Yep.
You could say the same thing about T-Mac. The Bulls could have use Tracy off of the bench or as a starter. And all it would have cost them is a low 1st round pick.
