Wow. That's a bold statement. Maybe last year... but, no.

    In no particular order-

    Rubio
    Holiday
    Wall
    Irving
    Williams
    Parker
    Rose
    Paul
    Rondo
    Lillard

    Honorable mention- Kemba Walker

He hasn't been healthy this year. He's been playing on a bad wheel .

Not sure if Lawson ranks ahead of those guys, but he can hold his own (on any given knight) against most of them......but it does show the depth of talent at the pg position these days and that if you don't have legit pg, YOU'RE SCREWED!

We haven't fully implemented the dual combo guard attack with Drummond and Monroe plus a floor stretching shooter yet.

Gotta test it out before we give up on it.

Joe's vision is so close to being fully realized. It's going to be glorious...

Lowry and Conley are better than alot on that list and a healthy Lawson is certainly a top 15 PG. Wall is not a top 10 PG and Kemba certainly isn't above average even though his nice numbers this season.

Every one of the guys you had mentioned is money so I'm splitting hairs a bit when I attempt to edit your list:
-Rubio doesn't belong. He might be the most spectacular passer in the league and posts some sick highlights but that's about it. Dude can't shoot.
-To me, Wall is a poor man's Michael Westbrook (I mean this as a compliment). ...and I noticed that Westbrook wasn't on your list.
    - I love Lillard but I'm not ready to put him above a lot of cats that you didn't include. 5 years from now, he and Irving will own this discussion. I drafted him on my fantasy Keeper league team so I'm set at PG for the next 10 years.
    - I agree with Mog; Conley & Lowry are top 10s. I'd still put Nash on there as well even though he's Canadian.

Everybody makes a big deal about the point guard, but look at the last teams to win the championship:
    2012 Miami (Chalmers)
    2011 Dallas (Kidd)
    2010 Lakers (Fisher)
    2009 Lakers (Fisher)
    2008 Celtics (Rondo)
    2007 Spurs (Parker)
    2006 Heat (Williams)
    2005 Spurs (Parker)
    2004 Pistons (Billups)
    2003 Spurs (Parker)

Those pgs were good, but look at the teams leaders on each of those squads:

    2012 Miami - James, SF
    2011 Dallas - Nowitski, PF
    2010 Lakers - Bryant, SG
    2009 Lakers - Bryant, SG
    2008 Celtics - Garnett, C
    2007 Spurs - Duncan, C
    2006 Heat - Wade, SG
    2005 Spurs - Duncan, C
    2004 Pistons - Billups, PG
    2003 Spurs - Duncan, C

I see one point guard, and even Billups is debatable because that starting unit was unique among championship teams in the NBA and you could easily make the claim that Ben Wallace was more important to their identity than Billups.

To win, you need at least one guy that you can rely on to efficiently put the ball in the bucket, and you need to play defense. Of the teams in the NBA this year that have 20+ wins:
    PG led:
    Clippers
    Nets

    SG led:
    Indiana
    Golden State
    Houston

    SF led:
    Miami
    Atlanta
    OKC

    PF led:
Knicks (though Anthony is really a SF)
    Nuggets

    C led:
    San Antonio
    Memphis

The reality is that the point guard position is overrated. They bring the ball up the court, but that's only difficult if there's a press on, and nobody actually runs the press. True facilitating point guards are rare, and they need scorers on the team to be functional; look how good Bynum looks when he's on the court with Daye, Villanueva, and Drummond (and doesn't have Stuckey getting in his way).

I can't remember when Bynum looked good. He is just a ball hog, who makes awful decisions. Sometimes ( like few last games) he hits his shots, but you can't win in a long term with him on court.

i liked your idea 4 trading for rudy, i do think if he came to the pistons he would be a huge offensive plus 4 us but that contract that he is on is just too suspect to risk our chances on a great free agent (if available). id like to think we could pick up tyreke evans cheaply because he has a better skill set than rodney, plus getting him out of that dodgy kings enviroment may show what the former ROY is capable off

Dayum I would love seeing tyreke here as long as he learns how to share, his rookie year was spectaular
Also as Charles Barkley said in a discussion about Cousins, it's the lousy team around him that makes him lousy (he used the word stupid but same thing)

Sorry, fellas. My bad. I didn't mean that those ten were definitely the best ten PGs in the league. I just meant, that off of the top of my head, that those ten were better than Lawson.

I agree that Conley, Holiday, and Lowry are also better than Lawson.

I like Lawson well enough. I just wouldn't want him leading my team. He's plucky. He can ball. He's not leading you to a championship.

For the record, I'm a big Jrue Holiday fan. Crazy talent.

I watched that Burke kid play today for a little bit. He didn't seem to be playing all that great, but he looked pretty good.

He looked like he would be a drastic improvement over any guard the Pistons have.

So, anyone think JD can fool someone into trading for the Collider? IF he's willing to trade his fave anyway.

Bad game for the kid, he was pressing. Coming home to Columbus, #1 ranking on the line against their fiercest rival.....I'll be interested to see how he bounces back this Thursday against a very good Minnesota team and then in the rematch with ohio in Ann Arbor. But like the announcer said, "He's the next Chris Paul". People are hesitant to say that because they try and compare him to Chris Paul of the NBA, but the announcer made it clear that he (the announcer) remembers watching Paul play for Wake Forest and their games are VERY similar when you compare Trey Burke to the Chris Paul at Wake Forest.

NO. Based on where we're drafting I think we should target Trey Burke. I believe Bennet, McClemore, Muhammed and Porter will all be gone when we pick. I also believe that we shouldn't spend a lottery pick on Burke, therefore it may be possible to trade down in the draft and make a team take back Super Collider in order to move up in the draft. We leave the draft with our targeted player and without SC.
