Marc Stein claims Detroit is one of 5-6 suitors for Josh Smith and a serious contender for Bledsoe. I'd rather have Iggy at the three but it sounds a bit more interesting if the plan is to sign Smith and swing Monroe for a elite PG or SF. I hope we don't bring in Bledsoe to start at PG, I doubt he'll ever be a decent starter.
Forget about Josh Smith, it's all about Tony Mitchell now.
Right on. Dude is the most athaletic player in the L right now.
Interesting. I would be more interested in Bledsoe than Smith. But if we got both we would make serious noise in terms of size!
Looks like Bargnani is headed for the NY Knicks.
In exchange, the Knicks are reportedly offering a package consisting of center Marcus Camby, sharpshooter Steve Novak, a future first-round pick and a future second-round draft pick
Deal got busted for basketball reasons I believe. Something to do with cap space.
Twitter / HowardBeckNYT: UPDATE: Knicks trade for Bargnani ...
Sources say in order to make the trade work, the Knicks are going to have to sign-and-trade at least one player into the trade to make it work after July 10 -- when the league's annual moratorium is lifted. It has to be a player Knicks had at the end of the season.
New York Knicks close to acquiring Andrea Bargnani from Toronto Raptors, sources say - ESPN New York
All this Bargnani talk reminds me of the out takes in Rush hour 2 when the bad guy falls out the window and lands on a car and Chris Tucker says "Damn, he ain't gonna be in Rush hour 3."
It reminds Toronto fans of all the times they flushed the toilet and it got clogged.
Only it falls through, my friend. Only if it falls through.
I would definitely talk to these people.........see what it would take.
Warriors explore trading David Lee - Yahoo! Sports
Mavs declined Darren Collison's qulifying offer, so he's now an unrestricted Free Agent. Decent shooter (47/35/88). His per 36 numbers last season: 14,8 ppg / 6,3 apg / 1.5 spg / 2.6 tpg.
I definitely think he's someone we should look into, since I believe he'll be available at a very fair price.
May not be a bad idea.
It's not a bad idea, but It seems that the Pistons wants to resign Calderon.. so, signing Collison it's not a good move if we are going to have Calderon, Knight, Stuckey and KCP in our team.
About Josh Smith... I always liked him... but I can't help feeling a rare, awkward thing about Pistons overpaying players in the free agency.
All the other places I've been reading, they all talk bad about Smith being only interested in money and not in win games. I'm not saying it's true, but that really makes me feel weird.. As I Said, I've always wanted Josh Smith in a Pistons jersey, but now... I don't know.
Why? We already have him, we just call him Brandin Knight.
Knight per 36 min: 15.2 ppg / 4.6 apg / 0.8 spg / 2.9 tpg 42/38/76. He's 6'3" 189 lbs vs. 6"0' 160 lbs. Lower percentages and lower assists, but a huge size advantage.
Not in a hundred years. His interior defense is so bad it makes BoT look like Ben Wallace.
I love Smith. His effort level is a bit up and down, but I think he has never real felt in the right place in Atlanta. A change of scenery will probably do him good. His defensive effort is always pretty good.

A birdie is singing that Calderon could be nesting in NY.
