I'm hoping this happens with Ben McLemore.
Not me. I just don't see McClemore being able to help this team. He just hasn't put it all together yet. He can shoot, he's super athletic......but he's also passive and hesitant, it's like he's the only person in the world who doesn't know how good he is or how good he can be.
Is it me or is he 'Nique's doppleganger?
NBA free agent rumors: Will Bynum now "more likely" to re-sign with Pistons, according to report - Detroit Bad Boys
I like Will, he's a GREAT spark off the bench. Is he iradic? Of course! But that's why he's a $3M/yr bench player and not a $8M/yr starter. I just don't understand what folks expect out of a backup PG.
Watching him and Dre just connect was fantastic. I'd be happy to just plonk him out there for 30 minutes a game to see how many assists he can rack up by playing fetch.

Chad Ford Mock draft from yesterday: Analysis: If Anthony Bennett slides to No. 8, Pistons GM Joe Dumars will be grinning ear-to-ear. For the past three years, one of the top-ranked players in the draft has slid to the Pistons. In 2010, it was Greg Monroe. In 2011, it was Brandon Knight. In 2012, it was Andre Drummond. If Bennett is there, the Pistons would grab him. He can play both the 3 and the 4, can both stretch the floor and play in the post. The Pistons have other needs, including point guard, but Bennett is too much of a talent to pass up. Trey Burke and Michael Carter-Williams are the other two possibilities in Detroit.
At #37, Chad Ford has the Pistons taking Archie Goodwin - guard from Kentucky. At #56, the Pistons are taking Solomon Hill - SF from Arizona.
You never pass up on a Chaz-Max hybrid.
I see a combo guard in our future as Bennett is snagged with the 7th pick.......
10 NBA Players Who Will Definitely Switch Uniforms This Offseason | Bleacher Report Will Bynum stay or go?
Last few years, as we got on the clock, Joe picked the player we all wanted. Imagine Trey is still there at #8, and he passes on him for Zeller or someone...
Zeller could actually turn out to be a decent fit with GM and Andre. But since we're a bottom dweller right now, it sort of stinks drafting a player to come off the bench.
I'd rather draft a guy coming off the bench, than sign 2 free agents ( Ben Gordon, Charlie Villanueva ) for all that money that were coming off the bench, like Joe D. did a few years ago. He wasted all that money on those 2 guys!
Damn, it's not a popular opinion, but I'm not sold on Trey Burke. He just seems to disappear way too often. He's shown he CAN be clutch, but what about the rest of the game where you need him? He's a decent option as we really do need a PG but I just have a bad feeling about him being Mateen 2.0. (Sorry, I know Mateen couldn't shoot) but I don't wanna see JD pick up a guy just because he went locally to school here. I don't know why, I'm just getting a bad vibe. Same as Bennett falling to us, just seems like he has bust written all over him. Watched a highlight video of him and he seems like he's just not fast or quick and couldn't get it done at the next level. Some players just don't make ya go AHHHH !!!!!
I don't want Joe to pick a guy just cuz he went to an in-state school but I also don't want Joe to NOT pick a guy just cuz he went to an in-state school. ...I don't know WHO to take man.
Honestly, for 3M a year, Will does a decent job. My biggest problem with Will is his decision making, He's always trying to be the hero. He never saw a shot that he didn't think was open. He's got good enough quickness to get an open shot but rarely seems to realize that him taking the shot isn't what's best for the team. He's always trying a "heat-check" after making 1-2 shots. Usually he's not good for 3 in a row. To me, Will bogs down the offense. No one seems to move on offense because they all know he's breaking down the D and putting up a shot. I really want a PG that can set up and run the offense. (I do like Jose, even though I can't envision him signing with us again).
again what are your expectations for a backup pg making $3M/yr?
