Could you name some collective and adaptive traits that those three might have in common?
Read the following STRONG endorsements from Tay Prince and McDyess: McDyess to start for rest of regular season | detnews.com | The Detroit News Tay: "at this point, i dont care what we do" "who gonna come off the bench other than Rip" "there's good ways and bad ways to look at it" (WHATS THE GOOD WAY?) "ASK dYESS" Dyess: "mmbbbgrrrmmmbbbb"
Well, Amir plays primarily in the first quarter, and has better on court defensive numbers than even the other starters by about 5 points. The first quarter is already when we play our best defense. We win the first quarter 58% of the time, which puts us in the top 10. Amir also plays a lot in the 3rd quarter and we win that 51% of the time. So, not sure why adding the 2nd worst +/- guy on the team will improve that. In quarters 2 and 4, when Dyess already gets a ton of minutes, we are abysmal. Bottom 10 in both. We only win the 4th quarter 37% of the time, which is 2nd to last, only ahead of the Clippers, who are at 36%. And these terrible 4th quarters have been happening while Dyess is fresh and energetic. What will happen when he's getting heavy minutes and then has to finish a game? No more 12 rebound 4th quarters for him, that is for sure. Talk about losing a team!
This was as predictable as Curry's next roster change in less than 10 days. One thing is for sure. Alex Acker will not get a start, although I wouldn't put it past Curry to announce that he will insert a 2012 second round pick into the lineup right now. You might think it will create a temporal paradox, and corrupt the space time continuum, but since AI cut his hair, I'm sorting feeling like anything is possible in the universe as long as Mike Curry is the master of it.

Anybody got a feel on when or what the next significant lineup change is?? In other words will Herrman start the March 1? Since Amir normally played in the 1st qtr when he started, there is a possibility that he never gets in games now or we find ourselves digging out of the whole early in the game missing Amir's defense and offensive rebounds. So how long does this experiment run it's course?? When Dyess' defensive shortcomings rears it ugly head in crunch time and his legs give out after 35-40 minutes?
In other words this whole season is a bunch of bull-golly!!
It's really even not about the team anymore. It's about them thinking that we are stupid fans, and that we're just supposed to believe that what they are doing is the right thing to do.
"STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES "...UNFORTUNATELY FOR US!!!:nerd2:
JD: man, this season just hasn't been going the way i hoped MC: how about a trade at the deadline? JD: nah, with the sellout streak ending, mr. davidson likes to see us with a lot of $ to spare going into the summer MC: hmmm, i guess we need to distract the fans for a little longer and have them debate something other than whether or not we've thrown in the towel on this season 5 seconds of silence MC: lineup change? JD: lineup change
hahaha! WOW! After a few epic exhibitions of exquisite help defense against Session's in Milwaukee and Rose in Chicago with Dice/Sheed, he decides that's his "DEFENSE LINE" for help D!! Brilliant. This is like a coach putting Ben Wallace in the starting lineup, and citing a need for better free throw shooting as the reason. At least say something he's decent at like shooting or a veteran presence or whatever, but help defense? Can he really be that dense? Is the city of Detroit collectively being Punk'd?
Haha, Just saw this little nugget in the detroit news... (ACTUAL QUOTE) He continued.... "They good".
I don't have the energy . . .
He's delusional. Or maybe he just has a completely different concept of 'help defense'; maybe to him that term means letting people waltz into the lane unimpeded and allowing 40+ points in the paint. Ain't that the truth. Just.. LOL
Amir lost his job. Economy stinks.
For a while a held on to the theory that MC was a genius in disguise...so much for that theory. Does the fact that Amir smells like cat litter have any bearing on his move to the bench?
No doubt. And to think we used to build tanks here. In other Detroit news... Report: Former Mayor Kilpatrick will work for Compuware affiliate | detnews.com | The Detroit News Pretty amazing the dude gets a $300-360K job within days after release from a hand-slap prison sentence for costing Detroit over $9M and national humiliation to cover his known tracks...while Karmanos lays off more Detroiters. It's no wonder the rest of the country thinks Detroit's a joke and won't buy it's vehicles despite the fact they're as good or better than anything produced in the world. If I was Dave Bing I'd invite Kwame & Karmanos to lunch the week after I got elected and tell both of them to kiss my ass and get out of town forever.
Sheed was sprouting the company line. With all the 4th quarter meltdowns, he could not have been telling the complete truth. What else is he going to say?
