Other than Sanchez and Pelfrey, Tigers starting pitching was decent, but it would have to have still had Porcello, Schererville or Price in the rotation which could have been good enough for possibly 10-15 wins. (Compared to the 24 losses attributed to Sanchez and Pelfrey ).

    To re-quote myself
Ok this is what happens when you are typing on your phone before you get out of bed...what it should have said:

Other than Sanchez and Pelfrey, the Tigers starting pitching was decent, but it would have been nice to still have either Porcello, Scherzer or Price in the rotation which could have been good enough for possibly 10-15 wins. (Compared to the 24 losses attributed to Sanchez and Pelfrey:faint: )

We know what you meant. :good:

It seems like the Tigers look good on paper every year. For whatever reason, it just doesn't seem to work out...

It doesn't work out for most teams. We are just focused on our own.

Look at the Royals and the white sox. Both were expected to do much better than they did.

    The 'all-time' MLB standings

I really get upset about Tiger baseball...not just this year...but historically.

Since 1901 (Woody's 12th birthday) Cleveland has a better won/loss record than us.

My gosh...............Cleveland...they never win anything historically.....Scary.

We seem to always have it good on paper, but this just never materializes.

Our best Decades that I remember were the 1980s when we had baseballs best overall record,

and the 1960s, when we had just a lineup of sheer talent.

Sparky had a tight reign on the players in the 80s...wearing jacket and tie on travel days, curfews, ect.

In the 60s, with no free agency...and our penny pinching owner, John Fetzer...same as the 80s.

It just doesn't seem that way anymore.

No one ever talks about how the difference between winning and being great is usually culture.

Culture is the difference in all spheres of human competition. War, economic, social etc.

My problem is that we have Drew Sharp out in front of every venue holding up a sign
that says: "THE KING IS A FINK!"

Former Tigers Porcello and Price didn't help the Red Sux much in Cleveland.
