If we lose, it won't be fun. I went to a couple Bears/Lions games that were mostly Bears fans heckling us at the end.
interesting take on the game: Scouts Inc. breakdown: Detroit Pistons vs. Cleveland Cavaliers, Game 3 - ESPN he does like stuckey's play despite the poor shooting
The Pistons sold Detroit fans out, so Palace Entertainment is following suit? As long as you fill the seats, it doesn't matter who the crowd cheers for :P
Offering tickets to the Cleveland elite is a slap in the face to the city of Detroit. It would be easy to distribute $2 tickets to many youth groups in and around Detroit who coulda used the uplift in spirit. For them...Just going woulda been a treat. Team didn't even haveta put on a good show. What was management thinking. I couldn't believe this when I first read it, but then I heard it on ESPN. We're light years from being that "Going to Work" franchise. I fully expect to hear an outcry from the leaders of the Detroit community...
i dunno...they have been offering a LOT of $12 tickets and couldn't even sell those. but i like the way you think...back when the pistons were competing in the Finals they had PalaceVision for $5 during the road games and it always filled with rowdy high-schoolers.
Obviously PE gave up on the possibility of a game 6. Why give the tickets to Detroit youth groups & such (that probably wouldn't put a lot in the concession till) when you can get Cavs fans willing to make the trip and party hardy?
Or maybe because Tay was quoted as saying they play worse at home then on the road. They will make a home game seem like a road game. Friendly officials and hostile crowd. Could be a recipe for a win.
This is insanity and fans of this team should be infuriated at this. Man, I think we need to have a postgame show win or lose...thoughts?
no problem...I'm just really annoyed by this and I can't believe they would think this is acceptable.
The latest inane Curryism: "I'm sure the obituary has been written for a while, but the date keeps having to be changed," Curry said. "We will die eventually." What a jackass! The date hasn't been changed yet even once because -- despite Curry's best (worst) efforts -- even the mighty LeBrainlesses can't win a best-of-seven series against the Pistons in just 2 games. I don't even know what to say about the "we will die eventually." Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Detroit Pistons - Preview - April 24, 2009 - ESPN
Maybe the date was moved back by 4 games once the obit writer realized we were actually going to make the playoffs. That could be what he is referring to.
I remember Bear fan going down to Dallas and everytime W.Payton did sometime good you would hear a roar. - This is so embarrassing. I hope none of you "it's ok to take a step back" folks don't mind a little Cav fun in our house.
I know we're all a little downtrodden now, but it looks like Tay is ready to go tonight! Should be a great game. Six points, zero excuses for Tayshaun | Freep.com | Detroit Free Press
He stopped short of offering a guarantay for a win tonight. Nice that Tay has picked his back-up playoff team...after the Cavs, of course.
