Share your favorite memories of Dave Cowen's time with the Pistons.
There was that one game (Tuesday, Nov. 11 @ Sacramento) where he actually stood up during a timeout. Correct me if I'm wrong but it looked like he was about to say something constructive to Amir Johnson prior to walking toward the end of the bench to get a fresh bottle of water.
He will be missed.
Those halftime hallway chats were very memorable.
Yeah. I think someone posted a youtube clip of that.
The thing about Cowens was the sense that he was always on the verge of possibly doing something.
He was tallish.
Cowens? Didn't he used to play right field for the Tigers in the seventies? He was never the same after that pitch hit him in the jaw.
Yeah, good idea to start this thread Bills. This forum is quality all the way.
Hey Roscoe, let's replace Chuck Daly on the front page with Cowens.
He's still on verge of doing something great.
You talk about a Coaching Dream Team. I'm surprised the Pistons didn't go 82-0.
Wasn't it really a decent coaching team? I wonder, wouldn't we rather have them than what we have now?
This thread is cracking me up.
Unbridaled floor speed. Open floor ball handling. Moved like a Giraffe on blue valium. Fingers that tickled the ball on release but molested the ball on rebounds. Plus - he once had normal hair..
Here he is, in his prime, the cowman bleateth..
