Yeah, I mentioned this in chat. It was driving me crazy how the Cavs could always get RJ on a super bad matchup.

Thanks for the analysis. Quality stuff.

The Pistons clean up a couple of things and we can still give these guys hell.

We should have hired Blatt on a 10 day.

Aha, who were Harris and Baynes guarding?
Were they both heard saying, "sorry Reggie".
I don't think so, it was probably Steve Blake's fault.

The Cavs would exploit a zone so fast your head would spin. It would not work.

A staggered 1-3-1 would work with The Bounce out front and would automatically carry him into the paint where he does his best work. Would have to be selective and I wouldn't mind having him and Bullock putting some pressure on second unit guards from get-go (full court).

In the NBA, you cannot run a conventional zone defense like teams do at other levels of basketball. A defender cannot stand in the lane without guarding someone.

We know that is not KCP next to Reggie, but are we really sure if that is Marcus or is it
Markieff standing between Harris and Drummond?

Can't be critical about the refs regarding the team that is supposed to be in the finals before even playing a minute..
Van Gundy fined $25k for comments about LeBron

I give SVG a ton of credit for calling out the officials publicly. Put the LeBron special treatment in the spotlight and watch Adam Silver squirm a little.

And we never saw anyone dunk from the FT line until Dr. J came along. There's a first for everything.

Hmmmmmm, a rotation idea for game 2:

Seeing that we're going zone I'd go big and start Baynsey, Drummond and Joel Anthony up front. I'd probably go with RJ and KCP in the backcourt for continuities sake.

I'm playing the big 3 together at least 40 minutes a game because they won't get tired playing zone. No one is getting more than a couple of lucky shots against these guys.

Blake is out being replaced by the taller Dimwiddie. Morris, Harris, Johnson, Bullock will all rotate in behind KCP at the 2 and fill in the 8 minutes I'm not playing the big 3. (I'd do it too for foul trouble but I don't see that happening.)

    CLE wouldn't sniff 80 points.

Even the refs may back off a little if it becomes evident that SVG's comments appear to be correct.

Then again, it could get worst as any Piston (Reggie) thinking about arguing a call could get t'ed up. :swear2:

It really is asymmetrical warfare by SVG. This sort of gamesmanship is elite coaching, the sort of stunt you would expect from a Phil Jackson or a Greg Popovich.
