From the Free Press: Chelios is competing for minutes with Andreas Lilja and Brett Lebda. Lebda, though, has the advantage of being a puck-mover. Chelios and Lilja, however, are boosts to the penalty-killing units. Babcock plans to use the exhibition season, which resumes tonight with a game against Florida, to mull the third pairing. I think the oldest player in the league will beat out Lilja, and barring injuries, will be paired with Lebda.

The man is a freak of nature. Its also pretty impressive that he has only played for 3 teams in his 23+ seasons. Seven with Montreal, 9 with Chicago and now is now in his 8th with the Wings.
Is there any doubt that he is a lock for the HOF? What I like is that he is so passionate about the game. His activity with the NHLPA is part of his off ice legacy as a leader and steward for the game.
