Saw the fourth quarter. The offense turned the ball over (Pope mostly and Jackson).

Can't figure out Meeks shooting. He hasn't shot well all season. The team lacks firepower.

Yes, Jefferson is still more polished than the Piston bigs and so the Piston bigs don't dominate which is needed for a win.

So Andre is taking shots and scoring but this game not rebounding? The organization needs to establish Andre as a defensive presence first.

The draft pick is at the 8th spot today.

Home is home, is home, is home, is home...do you want me to continue? There is no energy connection. That long tail is about to end.
The Hornet have some nice interesting combinations. Some good youthful talent and maturity.
Sorry, I am not your inspective homer.
They should have won and they did.
    Need I apologize?

Meeks was short on almost every miss. He's such a legs shooter, so maybe he was just off a bit energy wise.

I agree with Cartier Martin over SWilliams. Why not see what he can do?

There is nothing to lose at this point. May as well throw Quincy Miller out there now, too.

Andre got those two quick fouls and it really hurt us. There were a couple of nice alley oops from Reggie to Andre late in the game but he was pretty much neutralized by the fouls. KCP looked more aggressive driving to the hoop after his brick laying game in Houston.

Big Al took over when they needed it. It seems that he always plays well against the Pistons. He starts calling for the ball and the Pistons look like they have Fire-flies around their heads.

To be fair, the home/away difference has dropped dramatically since Moskowitz and Wertheim figured out that reffing was the cause of nearly all of the home court advantage.

Okay, if we can't beat the Hornets in any gymnasium, we may as well officially hang up the white flag.

We are 0-6 with Tay on the team, a reverse Smith.

Meanwhile, Russell Westbrook is putting up 36.2 points, 10.2 boards and 11.4 dimes in his last 10 with Singler feeding him the ball.

0-6 since Tay was inserted in the line up...hmmm...I wonder if realizes that stat himself??.
If it's not to late, I say buy out Tay so that he can go to contender (Clippers maybe). Move Butler to the second row of the bench and play Miller, Martin and Big Shawne at the 3.

One thing for certain, the line up is never productive when Butler, Meeks , Tolliver and Dre are on the floor together. Neither Dinwiddee, nor JL3 can take advantage of them spreading the floor and none of the wing men other than Meeks will drive to the hoop.....it's all about jumpers and misses, and Dre being blocked out from getting a board because there is no one to help him.

    Should have been 108-97

Either way how is it that the Hornets score 62 points in the second half last night vs our Pistons and only 23 in the second half of tonight's game vs the Wizards? Is our defense that bad or were they just worn out tonight from making those easy buckets last night vs us??

Our defense sucks. We've switched a lot of players while building around a core of Monroe and Drummond. We're still losing, and our defense has been handing out free chili for years. Maybe Monroe and Drummond aren't the answer.

    Tay has been dreadful.

In his time with the Pistons, he is 17th on the team in points per time unit.
He's rebounding at the same rate as Reggie Jackson.
His assist rate is worse than everyone except Andre Drummond and Joel Anthony.
    He's shooting 3 pointers at a .286 clip
    He's shooting FTs at .667
His VORP (Value over Replacement Player) = 0.0
+/- = -29 (and the team has been -30 over that stretch). So, -29 with him on the court and -1 with him on the bench over a 6 game stretch.

This is what happens when the starting spot is handed to a guy that doesn't want to be here.

Should not have traded for him. Buy him out and don't force us to watch him any more.

The Pistons shooting has been so bad, no matter the players, for such a long time, it's almost as if the team practices on outdoor courts.

We need the Meeks from the post-Smith run. The guy we drafted from the Lakers. Maybe he is just not good off the bench.

I wouldn't be against trying a Jackson/Meeks/KCP start against the right matchups.
Tay and Butler just need to be sat at this point of the season and the bit parts on the bench given a chance too.

We have a lot of great outside shooters. Unfortunately, all of our games are played indoors.
