Game is at Charlotte...... We stand at 2-9...... Charlotte also at 2-9...... Team with the most steals wins......... Charlotte by 4...........
Tonight would be a good oportunity for Mike Jordan to lace 'em up and drop 20 on Tay just for fun. If I owned a team, I'd probably do this kind of stuff from time to time.
The NBA must be trying to move League Pass subscriptions by not making this a national game. Anything for another dollar.
Good game, so happy to see the Pistons come away with a blowout WIN for once and put that 6 game losing streak behind us. Greg is continuing to be consistent. Not much more to say really, good game for him, just missed out on a double double. He's really thrived in this increased role so far. JJ's best scoring game in a while, leading the team in scoring efficiently, hitting 9 of 12, including a 3 late to help put the game out of reach. He did much better, grabbing 9 boards as well as recording 2 blocks. Granted, it's against the Bobcats who are also struggling, but it's nice to see regardless. Brandon did well also, was driving the lane early, then hit his final 2 3-point attempts (back to back) to start the run that would seal the game. Also recorded his first double double of his career, grabbing 10 boards to go with 13 points. Was active on defense right up until the end in garbage time. Tayshaun..I didn't really notice him for much of the game. Not happy to see both starting guards and Stuckey have more rebounds than him. Stuck is working his way back. Needs to develop a move other than 'hey!' and layups when driving to the rim so he doesn't get blocked so much. I like that he's playing off guard a bit more.
Battle of the 2-9 teams and the Pistons proved they were better of the two winning their first road game of the season and just missing their chance to score 100 for the first time this season as they spanked the Bobcats 98-81. If only the Bobcats and the 1-10 Wizards were on our schedule the next 5 games, we would look respectable record wise. Wins inspire more wins and hopefully this one will inspire a win on Sunday...but those Warriors will be running and we got to keep up with them. Tonights good! JJ stayed out of foul trouble and lead the team in scoring with 22 hitting 75% of it's shots and grabbing nine board. Knight continued to impress in his starting role and BG and Tay had a better night at scoring although BG still had a 4 turns.
Didn't see this one. But the boxscore looks good. JJ and Monroe along with Knight are our best players bar none. Nice to see rookie outrebound JJ and Monroe individually. Or maybe not too nice... Daye is following Gordon and CV out the door. Not really competing. Probably thinks the season hasn't started yet.
that cracked me up. love seeing a pistons team actually use pick-and-roll, love monroe examining the game and running the offense through him. fun game to watch
With today's totals, Knight has already surpassed Max in RPG average and total boards..........as soon as he can identify and find the right shooter in the right place on the floor, his assists will start to go up too. He already leads the team in made three pointers, where last year's three point threat Austin Daye is 0-10 for the season...
What's the record for most 3-pointers by a Pistons rookie? I'd imagine Knight has a chance to set it, unless I'm forgetting about somebody obvious. Isiah- 17 Dumars- 3 Hill- 4 Houston- 35 Knight- 22 (through 12 games!) That is a 150 make pace for an 82 game season. Knight has more than Kevin Durant through 12 games and is pretty much tied for 10th in the league with way less playing time than the other guys on the list. This pace would also put him on pace to have finished 10th in the season last year, just ahead of Durant and Billups. Knight averages only 29 mpg, so I think that his per game pace is more than sustainable as his minutes increase. We may have ourselves a 3-point shooter.
Lindsey Hunter with 69. Then Okur with 38 and Jerebko with 36. I love this finder thing. http://www.basketball-reference.com...at=&c5comp=gt&c6mult=1.0&c6stat=&order_by=fg3 Special shoutout: Will Blalock tied for 28th with 1.
