Harrelson is a professional basketball player. The other guys are athletes. No insult intended, but a guy like Harrelson makes it in the league because he does the fundamentals well, practices hard, and is ready when his number is called. He'll never be a star, but every team wants at least 1 or 2 guys like him on the bench.

Was Cheecks trying to spark the Pistons or Bobcats offense when he sat Drummond?

I like taking my best player out of the game for the stretch run.

I kept thinking Gerald Henderson was Derek Fisher.

Jefferson could have had 60 if his shot was falling.

Drummond was jumping tonight. He was getting to a level that no one else could and had a couple of ridiculous boards.

When the Pistons had a 10 pt lead late in the game, Drummond was even for +/-.

I am not sure he's our best player.

Took Mrs. Dre out on our Friday night movie date.....Checked the score of the game right after the trailers ran...we were up 46-28 with about 7 mins left in the second quarter. Showed the score to the wife, squeeze her thigh, said we got this and muted the phone and sat back to enjoy the movie. ...

About 75 minutes later the phone vibrates to advise me that the game is over....so I checked the score and mumbled WTH!! The wife elbowed me and it was hard for me to enjoy the rest of the movie. We were watching American Hustle (3.75 out of 5) and when the box score showed the we were out gunned 41-17 it appeared that we got Charlotte Hustled.

Looks like the Pistons were leading 99-94 and the first team 100 was supposed to win and unfortunately per the recap, Al Jefferson made sure the Bobcats got there first scoring six straight points to put them up 100-99. The Pistons are not going win any games giving more than 110 points let alone 116.

I read all of your comments.....Tell me....do I need to watch the game or just pass on it?

Also someone explain to me how a team like Lakers with no point guard and just a couple of swing guards are able to dish out 27 assists in their game to win by 13 over the Twolves...you remember them...the team that beat us by 27 points at home two weeks ago.

After the game Jennings was angry. He left quickly without hand shaking, hugging the Bobcats. The other Pistons followed his lead...except Chauncey, who had stunk up the point guard spot tonight...he stayed and with a big smile was hugging the Bobcats. Chauncey and Will hurt us. KCP needed to be playing more. Monroe was helpless when Big Al started to go to work.

Pistons became the first NBA team since 2001 to follow up a 20-point comeback with a 20-point blown lead.

That's great if they were playing +/- but they're not, they're playing basketball.

He did go 0-2 from the line though so maybe he deserved to sit.

Didn't the Celtics go for 4o in the 1st quarter on Wednesday also?

From Pistonpowered. They gave Cheeks an "F" for the game:

Oy. Guess there is no need to go down and watch the second half.

If they were playing basketball and the score didn't matter, I would agree with you.

I am easily the biggest Andre fan on the forum, but he's not consistently our best player.

Harry must have a head of wood. Anyone else would have had a severe concussion after taking the hit he took but it didn't seem to bother him.

Detroit might have had fewer passes than shots in the last five minutes.

More often than not Dre sits down the stretch, why? Why not sit Monroe? Monroe isn't reliable on offense in crunch time. Monroe doesn't secure rebounds down the stretch. Monroe is a horrid defender. While Dre isn't a great defender and he makes a ton of mistakes, he's still better than Monroe. And it's he inability to get stops that hinders is in the 4th! I mean we couldn't hold this team to 30 points in the 4th?

Who is then? More importantly, who is better than him at his position?

Dre has the athaleticism to make up for his (sometimes glaring) mistakes.

Decided to just erase it once I saw the high low lights....I just don't understand how a team doing so well on the road (5-1) this month is blowing leads and losing in the 4th quarter at home, (2-4) ...(sounds like both the Wings and Lions persona this past month too).

Sounds like another coaching Cheeks loss...leaving Bynum and Billips in the game too long and leaving Drummond on the bench. Since I am not going to watch the game I guess my next question is yeah they gave up 41 points, but how come we were held to 17? Bad shot selection or turnovers that led to their 41. I mean did we have Singler, Jennings and Smith jacking unnecessary jumpers??

I like Pope' D, but if his offense is just that as a spot up shooter, who his team mates won't even pass to, we may as well as well taken Burke or MC Williams where at least we got a better offensive threat and penetrator. In fact I am still scratching my head as to why Joe took Brandon Knight over Kemba Walker, but I guess he figured Kemba was too much like his other protege Stuckey.

Andre Drummond has consistently been the Pistons best player since the day he first suited up for the Pistons!
