CB made the team stodgy after his maker (LB) was gone...Chauncey became Flip's boss. AI might be gone after this year but he will bring more intensity and sense-of-purpose to the kids, and even the vets. Irregardless of cap space significance...good move by JoeD for this year too.

Best wishes to Mr Big Shot going back home...thanks for the memories :)

    Welcome AI!

I tell you what Rosc, AI can't wear his jock.
I bet he tried to take it too.

Dett, I'd like to see that intensity passed around. It's just his speed, no one can keep up with AI. That's his Achilles Heal no one can play along side of him.

AI will reportedly be wearing number 1

Rebounding? You think Sheed, JMax, Amir, and Kwame Brown can't rebound? Jeez, it was one of the few things you could count on from Kwame IMO

I'm scared of this trade but as usual, I'm behind the Pistons 100%.

I'm looking at the analyses that it is possible for us to sign two max contracts for premiere free agents in 2009 AND 2010!

    Just think:

    At point guard: Rodney Stuckey

    At shooting guard: Rip Hamilton

    At small forward: Lebron James

    At power forward: Amir Johnson

    At "center": Chris Bosh

    The Bench looking like

Afflalo, JMax, Herrmann, Kwame, Sharpe, draft picks

That's like a new best starting five in the NBA!!!!!!!

    Well, kind of...

There's a line from Apocalypse Now - "you don't ##@@%% with the infinite.." The basketball gods can't be too far behind.

    I'm just saying...

What will happen to Tay? He's going to be our 15th player on the roster?

The 2004 Finals MVP should have been Shaq. His refusal to step out on Chauncey on pick & rolls is what allowed Billups to abuse Payton. There is no defender that could overcome that. We also saw what happened when bigs did step out on Chauncey on those.

I remember a Portland @ Philly game when Sheed still played there and AI went in to the stands before the game to hug Sheed's mom. I think they're pretty tight.

I don't get why Billups seems to be having such a hard time flying to Denver. Don't the Nuggets have a travel agent?

Well, if he needs help, I am available. Let's get this trade done. These guys are behaving like Dantley dragging their feet like primadonnas.

Yeah, if he wants to take an extra day, Stuckey gets hurt playing too many minutes, or if the Pistons lose home court in the playoffs by one game, because they dropped this one against Toronto without AI it's no big deal.

I'm behind Chauncey too. Kicking his rear into action.
