Exactly... And Oladipo is younger and is different if we Draft him maybe he develop some "love" for the team.. who knows?

McCollum seems great, but following your logic that Gores don't want to wait for a long term project, i think mcCollum needs a foot surgery, and that would take time.
Time that Gores (And some fans too) don't want to lose.

Generally speaking if you draft a player without a jumpshot, he will continue to not have a jumpshot. Depends on his mechanics, but that's a big depends.

What do you think of his mechanics?

I don't think it looks bad. I don't spend a whole lot of time looking at it though.

I've never seen the board in such complete agreement about a player. Sounds like McCollum's the man. I think he'd probably be the better point guard of he and Knight, but it doesn't really matter as much as we pretend it does..who is the 1 and who is the 2.

I think McCollum is a reach if the Pistons end up at the #7 slot.

Stuckey was a reach. A Combo guard. People thought he could play some point...

    Hey, wait a minute...

McCollum hurt himself in, I believe, the 4th or 5th game of his senior season. I'd imagine that he's already had surgery and will be ready to go soon here. Quit reaching. Please.

Not everyone will agree and that's the beauty of a forum. But I'd be very happy to pick CJ. He should be good to go for combine. He looks to project right in our range with GR3 returning and the other dudes being huge white guys. I think JD will take a liking to the guy.

They had similar hopes for Ekpe Udoh and Bismack Biyombo. Specialists are not top 10 picks IMO. Isn't that right Memphis? (Hasheem Thabeet)

Thabeet wasn't a specialist in nothing, He was just tall and that was a big difference in the NCAA.

I'll say it again, I'm sure McCollum it could be a great pick, but I don't want players who are "injury-prone".

Just see Cleveland with Kyrie Irving, go check how many games and how Irving's stats have "increased" from past season to this season. (Just to make this clear, Kyrie Irving is an all-star, but his health issues are really a concern since day 1.
This season he played only 59 games .. And just imagine how many practices he missed.

McCollum's dribbling skills look really amazing and I like his shot technique, but I don't want to have a player coming back from and injury and getting hurt again and so and so ... And in today's basketball that seems to be happening a lot lately.

Trading Stuckey would be a lovely scenario no matter who we draft, wouldn't it?

Has DWAYNE WADE ever REALLY developed a jump shot?? he can only shoot outside 15' when he is WIDE WIDE open.

Wade never needed to develop a jump shot because he's sent to the foul line any time he gets into a shooting stance. Whether the ensuing shot falls or not is irrelevant.

Idk if one freak injury necessarily makes this guy "injury-prone"
