JD would have to admit he made a mistake...like that's gonna happen.
I agree. I don't see why there is suddenly an obsession with Afflalo. He is a good, solid role player. You could get one in free agency without giving up anything.
Overall that's my opinion, too, but I thought the consensus on Oladipo is that his ceiling is an Afflalo-type player. Of course, the consensus on Darko...
IMO, words like "could", "potential" and "upside" are pretty dang powerful to a team with a roster like ours.
Joe doesn't need to "hit singles".
This roster needs a "home-run" in a bad way.
Gamble on the dude with the biggest upside and roll the dice.
It all depends on what you have. If it's between Alf and, say Len... then Alf all the way.
Is he wearing a puka shell bracelet in that picture?
Oladipo is a defender first. His ceiling can be wherever he wants it. He already has half the game almost locked down.
And hell no would I trade him for Alf.
Oladipo will be much cheaper.
Spellcheck was nice on his rookie contract. Now hes decent, but much pricier. By the time we are good to go he will most likely be on the downside.
The perfect scenario: Burke in 1st, Hardaway in 2nd.
Feel free to comment.
Good idea. Hardaway won't last until pick #37, though. We have a better chance of picking up Glenn Rice Jr., if you are looking to maintain Wolverine connections.
Then Pistons need to make some deals. Burke, Hardaway, and Rice, and Finals are pretty much a guaransheed.
I like the idea of latching on to a particular school before the draft and then taking the best available player from that school each round.
