After having a 2nd fist fight with Etan Thomas Haywood's agent (Miller) says this might not be the best situation for his client.
Maybe we should offer Dale Davis's expiring plus Dupree (Dec 15) and the Minn pick for him. He certainly has more in the tank than Tazer.
Garbage for a decent backup big.

I dunno if I trust Flip coaching any player that comes in having a history of coaching problems. ...well I guessed he coached Sprewell. ..never mind.

Doesn't fit offensively. It's trading one stopgap for another IMO.

who needs a centre these days, what with the league wanting and rewarding teams with 5 G/F's in their starting lineup.

get him, play him so that he can polish his worth and than trade him along with Murray for Arroyo. Ok, we won't get Arroyo, so let's trade him for a player who can fill the void he left.

In David Stern's NBA the 6ft 9 Center that is mobile, can shoot the 3, grab 8 boards a game and has good hands to dish 5 assists a game is the new prototype Center. Slow lumbering Center's are out of style like the 1980's.:stirthepot:

Totally true. Those guys come in two kinds, though -- guard wannabe and guard not-wannabe. Those of this new genre that care to stay in the paint and dominate it -- the ones who aren't soft -- are gonna own the NBA in the future. Stern will never be able to change the reality that a 2-foot shot is gonna go in more often than a 20-foot shot. Guys like this should be channeling Tim Duncan, not Chris Webber.
