By wilt, don't you mean win? Drummond was shooting 25% at the line over the last week. Why risk losing a victory after such a great effort?

It was in the 1st half and he was the BEST player on the floor by a mile.

Did he hit 1 of 2 FT right before that?
    Was he active defensively?

This is what Van Softy has said Drummond needs to do to stay on the floor. He can't wait to take him out though. No one on the team gets a quicker hook.

He played 35 minutes. How much more would you like him to play?

36-39 in this game. He did not lead the team in minutes played and he always should give or take.

    Popcorn thoughts:

-KCP Is playing so great lately. I love it. And now, he is getting assists, too. Dollar Bills!

-Leuer seems like an intelligent player and is a determined rebounder. He keeps getting better as he gets more familiar. Versitile scorer, too. Playing w/ confidence.

-Ish is playing better and better, too. I don't know if it is familiarity or recent matchups, but it is crazy to see a guy everyone knows is going to drive still get so much space inside.

-Drummond another ho-hum monster night. I was proud of how Pistons played without him other night. I was thinking, even though we (myself included) nitpick Andre's defense/rim-protection, at times. He is basically the anchor for the 2nd best home defense in the league. Not too shabby. Of course, they gotta learn to take that on the road. But, maybe we are starting, too.

-I heard a quote from Tyson Chandler talking about how it is up to the players to police each other and keep each other acting right, etc. He said you know it is a good team when there is more than one guy doing that--like, at least a few. I wonder who holds that place/could take that place on the Pistons. I would be happy if we a got a solid vet a some point to help mold the teams collective psyche. I really liked Tuff Juice. I would love someone like him, but obviously much higher skilled. He could be like starting PF or maybe backup center. Tyson Chandler available? ;) Also, though are entire team is young, I could see MM being one to perform that role. Maybe KCP, but he may be a more lead by example type. I really don't know his personality, seems to keep it to himself.
    ----------------------

So, on NBA 2k17 I am the fledgling backup power forward for the Detroit Pistons. Video game does some dumb things, but still the AI is very highly developed, I think (I really don't know). Anyway, I thought a couple of you might be interested to know that 2k seems to think the best starting lineup is Harris at 3 and Leuer at 4. I know some people already mentioning that. I know Stan has done it before, but I think it was just like once. I have no clue if that is the thing to do. But, I do think it is interesting.

I'm guessing Tuff Juice is Tayshaun Prince, currently a free agent.

    35.1 minutes obviously.

The point is that whatever SVG does, win or lose, it's wrong.

Thanks, and I calculated it out, that starting unit had almost the exact same shooting percentage, beating out this latest game just a tad.

I think they are growing and while I expect a bit of slippage when our PG returns I think we are on the road to being top 4 Eastern Conf by the end of the year, with a chance to make the ECF depending on matchups and avoiding Cleveland this year... winning when your not being overlooked anymore on the road (where I think we are now) is a learning exp, remember as the Badboys were finding themselves they were become elite at home but couldn't win against the biggest bullies on the road... the difference was striking... (Boston / Det playoffs in 87?) we hung tough on the road but would let it slip thru our fingers but at home we would run the Celtics out of the building.... We have become a people that don't want to let a team build little by little anymore we expect instant sucess... well we won't get the superstars free agent that will let us build that way I'm afraid.

True. This is the path to building a good team. Stan Van Softy has done a great job working his way along that path.

A lot of the failed coaches in the past had their good points. Mike Curry had the tablecloth coats, Mo Cheeks was a good Samaritan etc. but Stan is the one that has taken us to the playoffs and make some good trades and a particularly good release of a player.
