if this were indeed to go down i'd rather a young up-and-coming PG than miller.
    names include:
    ray felton
    kirk hinrich
    deron williams
    chris paul (untouchable though)

i also hear there may be a trade coming out of seattle - ridnour?

or if you wanted to trade like-for-like, mike bibby.

but all this means squat if billups is dead-set keen to go to denver. that would require swinging a 3-way.

we need to keep b-b-b billups!

CB>Bibby CB>>>Rifdnour. I agree keep Chauncey. Besides last year he has been the best PG in the playoffs for a long time. I expect him to get back on track.

Joe D loves Ridnour... if he was available when we drafted Delfino he would have been a Piston.
    How do I know this?
One of Lukes close friends was on another forum (believe me he knew everything about him)... he talked Luke into doing a guest visit on the forum... he talked about his college experiences, the tournament and pre draft camps etc.
He said his agent was in contact with Joe and that Joe wanted him badly.
Some others may recall this as well... it wasn't a hoax.
Just saying don't be surprised if Luke lands in the D

I don't think Billiups will want to leave. He always seemed much more grateful to the Pistons organization and to Detroit for establishing him as a premier PG than Big Ben ever was. You have to remember he already had a stint with the Denver Nuggets so why would he want to go back?

If I was to ever trade Chauncey it would have to be for a player that puts up similar numbers and that is younger that you could build around. Andre Miller puts up decent numbers but when you have Carmello jacking up 30 shots a night thats not hard to do

    D. Wade may last only one more season the way he drives to the hole. He's going to get damaged. I like when CB drives but why should he? Let Tay, Bramha, Sheed, Rip and others do that. Until they fail. Then he can jack up more tres!
CB's job is to get the ball to the hot player and make sure we get the win. He does that just fine.
Orlando is 5 and 1 so far. Be afraid, be very afraid.

This is ridiculous. Nash wasn't an MVP when he signed, but he has been the reigning MVP since (2 years). If Billups isn't an MVP candidate this year, how can anyone justify paying him what Nash makes?

The reality is that CB will be overpaid, and if it is a lot, I hope it's not the Pistons footing the bill. Not for 5 years...

how about billups for carmelo, and blalock is our point guard

really, though, why does it have to be billups for a point guard? we've got one and he's already good and is going to be terrific, couldn't we get something else for chauncey? i don't know... thinking about trades is way not my strong suit

If you aren't willing to pay Chauncey 10-13 million a year for 4-6 years. then you better trade him now because he will get that much without question.

This is probably true... Joe should have had a sit down with Mr. D by now.... however a team trading for Chauncey will also risk losing their traded player for nothing if Chancey doesn't re-up with them....
Chauncey may not fetch a big talent in return because of his contract status.
