I heard this on the way home today. Very exciting - hope we can get him.

Sounds like you're guessing wrong, from what I've heard he is the one who reached out to Dumars with the proposition... He could be a very decent reserve big for us and we already know he's gonna give us whatever he has left in the tank... For only the vets minimum which doesn't take a hit against the cap for us (meaning we can still pursue bigs that can make an impact like Wilcox or Gooden), I just don't see much of a reason why not?

As a matter of fact for the record Stuckey should give up that #3 jersey with no complaints to his elder... Not to mention I just think any guard that wears #3 should be able to shoot and make 3's a bit more consistently, lol!

Ha, HAAA... WHOA... You are either a master of sarcasm or a deeply disturbed so called basketball fan... I'm hoping for the former rather than the later so I can laugh with you intstead of at you!

LMFAO, indeed that patch is just absolutely WACK to say the freckin least! Not to mention he should feel lower than snail sh!t to get passed over by the spurs for an older player like Antonio McDyess with no hesitation, HA!

Joe is not interested in Ben. (my opinion) He wants a new player to step up and assume the leadership role. Wallace still could be an asset to a competitive team, but he would still be the old (fossil like) guard here. Interesting to see who...If any...of the 2004 players get their #s up in the rafters.

If Joe is afraid to make an offer to Big Baby, then he needs to go ahead and grab Wilcox and Ben so that Coach K II can get his game plan and roster set on who is playing where and when.

Keep waiting and no one of merit will be available and we can't rely on Max/Kwame hold down the front court

At this point, Ben is not a difference maker, but at least he is there to teach defense even if his skills have diminished to Daye, Summers, CV31 etc. After all our D ID left when Ben left.

Yes! Me too. But I think the #3 is firmly Stucks. If AI couldn't prize it away I don't think Ben would either.

After the Pistons 'low-balled' Wallace previously, would he even want to come back? Do you think there would be any ill-feeling from either side?

If Kuester is for real on his defensive importance, it might be a good choice to bring him back. He's got his money now and Flip is gone. He should already have a good relationship with Kuester.

Dre, I believe that Joe is trying to make a more significant move, so he may not be in a hurry to make an offer to a marginal FA.

Gotta get Ben and LH back either in jersey or in coach staff to mentor our youngs before it's too late. Recent draftee AA, AJ, WS are all gone and may be JM is going soon, we can say that they're not the material we need or anything but I'm regrettable to find that they got no one at their ears but just stripped and hung them out there and exposed to dry in last two seasons.

Please don't goof on the profanity filter.

By the rules, Stuckey could not give up his number after the season had already started. From what I remember, he was actually willing to give it to AI.

It's going to sell some tickets. Not as much as before but it's gotta look good from that standpoint. Maybe if these other prospects fall though then it could happen. Vet's min is at 1.3 mil.

    Where did you hear this?

For sentimental purposes i would like him to retire here, but at the same time i'd probably only want him back in a coaching capacity of some sort. I don't want to see him struggle here the way he did in CLE.

    Just to point out:

Ben Wallace can't do anything anymore except foul.

But his salary wouldn't count against the cap. So, that's 6 free fouls per game, not a bad deal.

Right. Is Ben Wallace's 6 fouls better than Cheikh Samb's? I would be tempted to say yes.

Ben has slowed down a lot from what I saw last season.

I'm all for bringing him back. I think it's a very good possibility. I look forward to the day his name and number are on the Palace floor.
