tough to find one that isn't as skinny as Mikki Moore or a plodding goon (Aaron Gray)...

But we haven't played a real Center since Elden Campbell and he even came into the league as a PF/C.

I've always wanted to see Ben next to a dominant Center.

Boykins would be an asset, but we play too slow for his game.

I'm not crazy about Sheed at center either, but who else have we got? Nazr? Samb? Championship caliber big men are not easy to come by and of the four good power forwards we already have Sheed is the only one who can possibly start at center. McDyess is a top quality back up and Maxiell and Amir both need to play. Sheed has to go somewhere or we will waste the future with Maxiell and Amir. We could trade Sheed for an all-star center but good luck making that deal. I am worried we have a real problem with this roster.

    NazMo is a championship center.

Lurch must have been his PF. Throw in Pee-wee Herman as the PG...............

BTW, it looks like Pistons tried to dump Nazr to Wolves for Hudson, but Minni didn't want to do it.

I don't know if you were around to have read the scouting reports on Bad Boy Bill when he was at Notre Dame. As we know Bad Boy Bill developed into an all star and second greatest Piston center off all time and the scouting reports on Gray are better than they were on Bad Boy Bill.

You can't be serious, Troy Hudson is a scrub with one of the worse contracts in the league, if Minnny wouldn't bite on that then nobody will.

I don't have to be serious or to be joking. I am merely reciting what the media is providing. I have no inside info on Pistons or any other team for that matter.

Totallly against a step backward to go forward.
How many guys out there have a shot as big as Mr. BS?
I don't want years lost "teal" trying to find another reliable shooter.
CB, Tay and Twitch came up weak in the CFinals. Right after Tay stroked the Bulls, I don't get it.
I see the wheels a little squeaky too, but aside from getting Kobe to deal with the new Bronze Age. I'd leave the team alone.

The biggest difference is Dumars. he's got a different approach than the teal organization.

    I agree.

You don't want to lose chanucy for nothing thats for sure. And I am thrilled about going blindly into some rebuilding plan.

There are 29 other teams out there that did not win the title and 14 of them did not make the post-season. Every one of them is either on a rebuilding plan or somekind of improvement time goal to win a title. If you look at teams with seemingly no chance to go anywhere you will always find a GM with a nifty 5-year plan to win a title. Its enough to keep some fans interested but how many of them accomplish their goals?

Rebuilding is not easy or fun. I agree the Pistons were not as exciting to watch last season but it was a heck of a lot better than watching a team with no chance at all. I do not relish the idea of going back to those 14,000 crowds at the Palace where you could hear a pin drop and where the only sell-outs were to see some other teams top stars.

Point is the Pistons are still one of the top teams. They do need to do something to improve but realistically you can't expect them to be able to find younger versions of their current core in an off-season or 2.

Get Chauncy signed. Give him what he wants and we can always trade him later.

    Chauncey for Kobe straight up.
What's more important, 5 guys on one page or 4 guys trying to catch up to one.
    Zenmaster would do it.

Not that I want it to happen, but the big Zen would take Sheed in a flash. Sheed in the triangle would be tough to stop.

No, I believe that would be Kmart :) . But, wouldn't you rather have a scrub who's contract ends a year sooner, and plays a position we have a dire need to fill. Provided Hudson dosent carry a rep as a malcontent.

I think there is something funny with Hudson's contract as it pertains to injury insurance.

Is it the kind of insurance that is the next best thing to money.
