If you have won a league, claim your banner by posting to this thread. Post a link to the thread of the league you won, and say "I won this" or something equivalent.

Do not post to this thread if you have not won a league. It should only be league winners and mods/admins posting, so no one gets missed due to a rolling conversation.

    Thanks!

Well, when I go to my Yahoo fantasy sports profile there is Second Chance 2013 trophy along with a first, second and third for the advance league. I haven't played in any football and baseball leagues...........

Dre, I won something in a game here some years ago and I can't remember what it was ( looking back, my Yahoo account indicates it maybe was survival football) . But anyhow, I remembered thinking I was going to get crowned for it, but Roscpe said " no" . He explained he only awards the trophies based on the regular leagues ( head to head hockey , basketball, baseball, and football... On any level whether beginner or advanced). It made sense when I thought about it. Think of all the leagues and contests we do around here. Where do you draw the line? Individual or group trophies in the picks game? Etc).

I just got my reward by enjoying calling him a cheap skate for a while. Anyhow, it's just the way it is. It's not minimizing anyone's accomplishments but it's really the only way to do it. IMO the months long head to head leagues are the toughest to win. Not to say the others don't take skill.

Anyhow, I know how you feel, but it's really all he can do just to keep up with the ones he does. I just wanted to let you know that nobody else got trophy or banner recognition for those other things either. Really, it makes the other ones " worth more".

Dre, you would have more if you participated in more leagues like me. Baseball, , football and hockey. Laimbeer never misses anything. He has 4 trophies but 5,633 last places too. We always need people. Would love to have you, and you don't need to have followed a league prior to a tournament. The names are meaningless. Just stats that count.

No problem....with the trophies......I was just letting him know just in case.....

As far as getting involved in the other leagues, I can follow and comment about them, but I wouldn't get any work done at my job if I was doing fantasy all year long... because I work at home I spend more time than I should on this site, Facebook and your trivial site...:typing:... but alas 3 years and 49 more days to retirement and then I should probably more time for the other leagues....

Yeah, basically what Tater said. The guys who play a fantasy league for 5~8 months really put in a long effort to get the win, which isn't quite the same as the stuff which can be done in a single afternoon or one week.

I don't want anyone to feel what they do doesn't matter, but we will need to put some thought into how to handle recognizing things we haven't recognized before.

I would like to suggest that we should just have an " honorable mention" or "Congratulations and Recognition" thread for those other things" . The person can just post in here like Dre did and an administrator can put it in one of thread type I just mentioned but that thread is locked to everyone else to keep out hijacking and garbage to give proper respect and not make it a joke.

Example: jammer wins forum Tiddly Winks" competition. Anyone posts it here. Then CJ menthol
Ions it in a post in the locked " Congrats/ Recognition thread.

I think it would be simple and appropriate.

Shhhh. Yeah, I know. But let's be nice to him. It's his birthday.

You know, he is actually really good at the game Candy Land. Then again, I'm not sure any skill is involved in that game. But he knows how to move his piece to the right color as long as he doesn't get a card with double squares.

    I've got an idea.

Why don't we have a Banner Room where we put all the trophies and awards and banners and congratulations and all that stuff in one place. Then we don't have to clutter the avatars with all that irrelevant information. You could make the Room sortable so that you could sort out all the third place finishers, or last place finishers, or banners or whatever.

Those who care about all that stuff would have a place to go without bothering all those who don't care much.
