Lee, why do you think he is barely playing..........? (for all of the teams he played for btw)
Everyone knows if you're going to play him then you play him out of position at the 2 and not the 4. Sent from the new and improved Tapatalk 2.
Just watched this game again. ( I watched 4 older games today to pass the time as the snow falls outside.) Anyway, wow, Singler played absolutely zero defense in this one. Now, I have noticed coach has switched up Singler's role often to try to find some way to hide him on defense, but in this one, it was Singler simply not playing any D at all. He was continually positioned midway between a perimeter shooter and the basket. Plays at the basket - he just stood there and watched. If to the perimeter, he was never able to get out fast enough to do any good. Basically, he just did nothing the whole game thru. He scored 22, but was minus 10 for the game. He makes none of his points stand up. Not one. And he loses points made for others as well. Poor rebounding - 3 in 41 minutes. Not much else either besides points. A block, a steal, and an assist. Nice to see a decent offensive game from him, but gee, we have scorers - we need defense. Singler provides none. PS, in this game, Singler played nearly the entire 2nd half.
Singler has the highest offensive rating on the team at 125. His +16 spread between ORat and DRat is 2nd best on the team. Singler is also 2nd in offensive win shares, 2nd in offensive win shares per minute, and 2nd in overall win shares per minute. This of course factors in the entirety of the season, not just one game.
Anyone remember when Lee spent Super Bowl Sunday re-watching all the Pistons games from that year to see if Sheed ever coasted during games?
Lee must not watch Brandon Jennings or Greg Monroe AT ALL!
Singler is coming off the bench. It's tough to get blood flowing coming off the bench. He went to Duke. It's a cultural thing for Duke players not make other players look bad. A lot of NBA players don't like Dukies. I get there early for the games. He plays good defense in warmups. Gets a hand in the face of the shooter. Uses both hands.
Agile like a deer?
Some call him agile like a deer. I call it a whole lot of talent.
I call him the Bambi Of Death. Dude's a straight up Bad*ss.
