Howard's garage is done a few days earlier than expected; mostly thanks to my choice of going with the Georgia-Pacific gypsum. Game tonight! Go Pistons!
Unless you can post some video of Howard building his garage I guess I'll watch the unprofessional Pistons.
There is a rumor out there that Pistons0809 refused to re-enter the garage until Stubbsy went with the Georgia-Pacific gypsum. I hope this isn't true.
Georgia-Pacific has been in the family since my grandfather Walt Hamburger started his carpentry business in 1931, so I might be a little biased... "Greg Monroe practicing pick-n-pop during shootaround says "Oh, hello!" as he sets each screen. I hope this happens in games, too" - a tweet from Michael Katz, (re-tweeted by Henry Abbott).
Hate to get off topic here, but the Pistons played okay tonight. Austin Daye had a great look at the buzzer on the potential game-winner. Stuckey looked like he was having fun watching the game from the bench. Greg Monroe with 22 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and a block. He was 8-for-10 at the FT line, but unfortunately the two that he missed were HUGE.
very solid game by gm, I was very unimpressed with BG in this one, even for the low minutes he played there were at least 2 distinct times he threw the ball to a teammate and actually threw it behind them which led to quick turnovers. At this point I wish they wouldnt even play him, I dont care if he rarely hits a shot or 2. He is a backpack on defense and just doesnt have that killer instinct anymore.
I'm not sure what you were watching, Copper. Ben Gordon scored 9 points (3 of 6 FG) and had 2 rebounds and 1 assist in 13 minutes. He only had 1 turnover. He was best on the team with a PLUS 13. That means during his 13 minutes of being on the floor, the Pistons outscored the Wiz by 13 points. Rip Hamilton, on the other hand, shot 1 for 11 for 2 points, and had 3 turnovers in 20 minutes. He was MINUS 14 for the night. I'll take Ben Gordon over Rip Hamilton any day.
"Stuckey, on his way to the locker room, took off his jersey and gave it to a fan in the crowd" No folks, I wasn't the lucky fan that got the jersey.
Phew, I could see giving the the game jersey to yourself Bron style after a triple double but giving it to yourself after a DNPCD would be taking it to far even for the Turkey Collider. Another great game by GM.
Arnie doesn't do the laundry, Summers does... Gives him that hand / eye coordination, and something to do...
I know the stats are not showing it, but this is again why watching a game is better than relying on stats. On 1 of the times I was reffering Austin Daye was cutting down the lane and gordon threw it behind him, daye reached back and got a finger tip on it but couldnt bring it in( Im sure since daye touched it he got the to) on the other that readily comes to mind, BG was feeding Tmac on the wing and his bounce pass was behind him and only a foot off the ground which I believe crawford stole and took in for a layup( beating BG back) You can take his 3-6 9 point night cuz thats actually a huge game for bg this year. Quick question though, I wonder how many points the guy he was guarding scored?
Not that Gordon was signed for his stellar defense, but having a PLUS 13 in 13 minutes is impressive. As far as turnovers go, it's the job of the official scorer to determine which player is mostly responsible for a turnover. It doesn't matter if a guy gets his finger on a ball or not. If the pass is reasonably catchable, it's the receiver's fault. It's pretty clear-cut 99% of the time, but once in a while the official scorer has to make a tough call.
