I know. He actually played pretty well tonight. That was a bogus call when they called him for backing into whoever.

because stuckey is garbage. And he is not a player who can take 25 shots a game yet, because he is not good enough.

Yeah, okay. I'll think I'll take what you say with a grain of salt, since it's obvious that you have an agenda.

    Thanks anyways.

Stuckey is always verbally flopping when he attacks the rim!

C'mon - Stucky had a good game today. Rip has to work on getting his shot back. Next week a game like that would have been a 40+ point night.

For Stuckey or for Rip? ...

I like what Stuckey did in the first half, but Hamilton just took way too many shots in the second and Stuck wasn't really involved. I hope it's a case of him just trying to get his shot back after missing so many games, but I'm not convinced that it is. They've been running the offense through him primarily ever since Iverson went down.

I though one of the 3's in the 3rd he took was a bad shot...I think as soon as Stuck crossed halfcourt and passed to rip he fired from 3 as soon as he caught it, but other than that all his 3's from the corner were good shots. The wizards keep leaving him wide open.

He had a lot of shots, but it seemed like every time down the court the offense was ran for him to shoot, so you can't really blame Rip for that.

The thing I dont understand is that they don't seem to have a problem with Rip shooting 20+ shots a night, but they dont want AI doing that.
So basically Rip can be a volume shooter, but not AI??

It is not "oh-why-A-can't-do-this"; AI just don't mesh with usual starters. That's why there is a hope that he can play with bench, that's the last hope for AI in this team. :nailbiting:

I know the shot you are talking about and agree.

I think the Pistons tried using AI like Rip when he first got here and it didn't go so well. I don't think the issue with AI is him shooting, I think it is his dribbling that didn't work.

Rip is shooting a lot no doubt, but they're still running plays when he is doing it.

By the time I got to one of the casinos to tune into the game, the Pistons were up one 86-85. I had no history of what was going on, and was wondering who was the guy in the headband taking all of the shots?? Much to my surprise there was Rip in uniform and taking as many shots as possible to make up for the games he had missed or as if he were the only player out there on the floor.

I think Dice hit the next two buckets before Rip finally hit a three pointer. They showed a grapic on the screen showing that the Wiz had outscored the Pistons in the 4th something like 16-7 and my thought was it looks like a 4th quarter collapse was in progress.

Things got a little antzy and nervous for me as we got down to crunch time as one screen showed the Piston up 96-95 with 26 seconds left and Villanova was leading pitt 76-74 with 35 seconds left on the other big screen with bettors yelling on every play.

Luckily the Pistons held on despite some shakey play in the last 5 seconds.....but my bracket pick for NCAA championship was squelched on the last play of the other game as Villanova took the ball from end to end to score the winning hoop over Pitt. :(

Well time to log off get up in the morning and see if I can drive home before the Piston games comes on later this afternoon.....zzzzzzzzz

    Good Lord we BLOW...

Mr. Future didn't do anything past halfway point of the 2nd.

EDIT: NVM, looks like Rip took all the shots. Talk about easing back into game speed... Christ...

These guys can't even lose right.

It figures they would rather flame out in the first round than slide into the lottery and have a small chance at a miracle ping pong ball draw.

now that I'm rooting for losses they win. :gaah:

Pretty much. It's a case of playing within the offense and random shots although i still don't want Rip shooting that much if he's not going to be more efficient.

Thing is Stuck backs away from shooting, Tay is too passive (and was being doubled), so the offense was essentially run through Rip almost everytime down and WAS was inexplicably leaving him open for the corner 3 practically all game. He took about 3 bad shots i can remember, one was a pull up three, the other was a dreaded "off the dribble move", and i'm not sure of the last one but i remember another "damnit Rip" somewhere.

Me too! WTH was that? A freakin' coast to coast? Christ

Rip is a better spot up shooter than AI. If you offer 25 open jump shots for Rip or 25 open jump shots for AI, I'll take Rip all day long.

If you offer me 25 forced shots comning off dribble penetration, I'll take AI over Rip all day long.

Now, the question is, after the they each take their 25 shots, who will have scored more points? Tougher call.

    True.

It probably depends on how the game is being called.

I meant Rip but either is capable of score over 40.

Rip is shooting 45% on the year like he pretty much always has. He has been asked to do a lot of things outside of his comfort zone this year to make up for the teams shortcomings. It is what it is with him. What you see is what you get.
