Blaha said both Rip and Bengo will be back for this one. Maybe Pistons will lose by a smaller margin this time.

If we can just contain Amir, and hold him to 5p,5r,3pf,2b.
We can't handle the 9p, 4r, 5pf, 4b he put up last time.

Update. Per WWJ yesterday, Tay will play too.

Which will mean in all, that we will be playing four injured players at least, probably five counting Bynum.

Speaking of injuries. I have had PF myself. Yes, you can still play, but after you take a whole lot of time warming up, doing a lot of stretches and what not. (And this starts early in the morning before you take your first step.) No way you play in an NBA game while still in too much pain to move like CV has done the last two games. That is not taking care of the problem at all.

I hope they ease these guys back. Like you, Lee, I fear they won't.

    Merry Christmas.

Would this be a pertinent question to ask?

Why is the complete (almost) crew coming back at the same time?

Thanks Lee. Unfortunately for me, this is a blackout on LP BB but I will seek to enjoy the game otherwise. ;)

It is what it is. We're still at the beginning of our rebuild, Toronto is starting to complete theirs.

JJ was easily player of the game IMO.

They may have to rebuild all over again when Bosh leaves at the end of the year.

LOL @ the thought of Amir being their future starting power forward.

I would trade every Pistons 4 and 5 for Bargnani. He's the special player in that lineup. Bosh is great, but Bargnani is something completely unique at the 5.

Well, at least we competed. We erased 20 points of a 21 point deficit.

Complaints. We gain back 3 players, and still play CV who is not quite ready to play yet - and remove 3 players from the rotation - Daye, Summers, and JMAX. In other words, adding players does not help much with a clueless coach.

JJ has been moved to starting power forward, so we get a lot of small ball anytime Tay sits. Even worse, in crunch time, we moved Tay to power forward. This is the same Tay who is coming back from a back injury, and who has shown in the past that playing power forward is detrimental to his health.

The good. Kwame and Atkins are not playing. Thats something in the right direction. Noone got overplayed. Rip was sat down 5 minutes into each half after starting. Apparently Kuester is learning a little bit at least. Now can someone inform him that small ball has been tried already - and is a failing way to play.

JJ fouled out after having a pretty good game. Lots of offensive boards, two triples made in the 3rd quarter when he scored 10 points. Plus several disruptions of their play.

Ben just played good D. Rip, Gordon, and Tay all did some scoring, to the tune of around 40 I guess between them. CV did look better, just not realy quite good enough to be out there yet. In any case, he played way too much.

Wilcox continues to score if we give him any opportunity to do so. And as a team, we are not getting the ball to him around the basket.

A bad call by the officials killed a very good chance for us to get back into this game right at the end. However, we managed to miss many chances on our own to catch up or pass them.

    Bynum played, did vey little.

In sum, the team is almost healthy. We could, going forwad, use a vey nice rotation of players, keeping fresh players out there all the time, and never going small. But of course, none of this will happen. We got a rookie coach who does not even know what winning basketball looks like. See you all next time.

    I'm very happy!

Yes, we lose this game, but T.Prince, B.G. and Rip are back!!

And even with that, Jerebko got a lot of playing time!!

I'm just happy to see this.

Please! No trade yet! take a few weeks to see what this roster can do!

Wow, not the same game I watched.

I thought it was a pretty well coached game, liked the rotation, like starting JJ at the 4, especially against Toronto. What I did see was a bunch of guys back after months of not playing and looking like a bunch of guys who hadn't played in months.

I would have preferred to have seen Rip sent to the showers by the coaching staff when he deliberately picked up a foul and a tech just so he could yell at the refs some more. Can we trade him yet?
