With CV and Bynum back, tonight will be only the 3rd game all season in which the entire roster is healthy.

All we can do is hope beyond hope that this injury plagued year has as good a result for us as it did for SA when they got Duncan.

This is a tough match-up tonight. Everybody's going to have to give their best effort and Q will need to think out of the box when it comes to lineups. Otherwise this could end up being a nasty win.

Victory. I'll take it. That was a pathetic game. We really are one of the worst in the league...but not THE worst. I wouldn't mind have a one Brook Lopez starting at the 5 spot.

Thought the Pistons could pull this one out, but the Nets were the more mentally tough team down the stretch and were able to secure the loss.

Congrats to Big Ben, the only player under 6' 10" to log 2,000 blocks. Sound the bell.

This was sort of more like what the Pistons envisioned at the start of the season. Bynum and Gordon off the bench, forming a very explosive 4 guard rotation, with solid play from Tay. Gordon's not fully back yet, but you know that's coming. Bynum looked really good tonight aside from a couple plays where he wasn't in sync. CV looked like he has a bad back.

There's no way the Pistons wouldn't have been a playoff team in the east this year if we'd been reasonably healthy.

I'm sure Joe is dying to get everyone back healthy and in sync so he can evaluate this team following the all-star break.

stats looked good on Stuckey. His assist #'s have been up lately. I haven't watched many of the games....is he starting to fill the role a bit more?

Definitely - he's playing a lot better. Also, he's playing with his scorers back in the lineup, and starting to get their legs and timing back - and that process isn't close to being complete yet.

Hey, we get to play these guys again shortly. Hopefully, another win coming. Yes, NJ is the worst team there is right now, but actually they have their players back for the most part and might not be as bad as advertised.

Rip hit a ton of shots in the 2nd half. Bynum returned, finally, and hit his first 5 shots. Atkins did not dress, and therefore was not negative in this game. I am sure I still would have pinned the loss on him though anyway if we had lost.

The Pistons scored 8 straight late to come back from behind for the win. Jason Maxiell and Ben Wallace, with Tay, Rip, Stuckey. Not a bad defensive team at all.

No bad back Wilcox tonight. Nothing said about him as far I heard anyway. Kwame played just a bit, to help contain Lopez some. His lowlight was fumbling a pass. A pass just about handed to him. No excuse as to how hard the pass was thrown. By the way, no, I never like seeing Kwame completely out of the rotation. I believe he should stay involved some, but just as a defensive specialist vs. bigger centers, like Lopez.

JJ started, played enough in the first half, but just 4 minutes in the 2nd half as he got into some foul trouble and we decided to finish the game with JMAX and Wallace. (It seemed like JJ was coming back in at one point but a timeout came along and it did not happen.)

CV played a bit. Totally unready to play, but he tried. Fortunately, for anyone who still cares about seeing a Pistons win, he did not play in the 2nd half.

Stuckey hit shots here and there, got to the basket enough. Can't complain about his game tonight much.

Gordon hit some shots. We played him a lot in three guard sets which is a waste. (that was mostly in the 2nd quarter. Not much small ball in the 2nd half.)Its troubling that this far into the season, no, we still do not have a backup small forward. I mean, the coach won't use one.

JJ played well as he could. But remember, he is a much better small forward, a position once again denied to him tonight.

Guess management must have ok'd a win to happen tonight. I do hope they keep the green light on. PS, this was the first night all our players were dressed. Remember, even in the first game, we were short two guys because of suspensions.

I like Ben Wallace's offensive game lately. Doing what he can, and seemingly practicing and honing those things, while avoiding doing things he is not good at.

    Final Pistons 97 Nets 93

Pistons finally found a team that they could beat, but they toyed with the thought of winning or Taynking all the way to the end. :)

Nice clutch shots and FT's by Rip in crunch time as he and Stuckey finished with a combined 43 points and 15 assists and only one TO between them. Even Taynking had a decent game with 15 pts and 8 brds and probably the winning hoop on an out of bounds alley oop phi slamma jamma dunk with 45 seconds left to break a 91-91 tie. The Pistons had fallen down 91-87 with just over two mins left but scored the next 8 points to send the Nets to their 43rd loss of the season despite stellar performances by Brook Lopez (27-7) and Devin Harris 24 pts and 14 dimes.

Good news is Will Bynum is back in uniform and Chucky Atkins was back behind the bench in a suit. Will hit his first 5 shots and finished at 5-8. No real rust IMO..No points from CV and no PT for Daye...but we did get nice production off the bench from Bengo and Max.

We get the Nets again on Saturday and play the Pacers on Friday. I am thinking if the Pistons had lost all three of these games, then either the official taynking was in affect or Kuester would have been possibly removed..lets see how the next two games play out as the Pistons try to stay close to the bottom three.:sssh:

I think I said in chat that you would blame it on Atkins if we had lost...just for being behind the bench..

    Good write-up!

Stuckey would have had a really nice game if he didn't blow about 3-4 point blank layups, including an embarrassing miss of a one handed slam. To me, these are even more frustrating than the jump shot, because there's really no excuse for him missing so many layups.

He did facilitate well tonight though... 8 assists to 0 turnovers.

Finally, all the players at Q's disposal and Joe D's dream has been realized.

Great rebound by Stuckey at the 1:00 mark by the way. In the post and went straight up high enough to take it away from 2 Nets, including Lopez. Not a rebound that many guards would have come away with.

Yee of little faith - I really did not think they were going to win that game. Turns out the Nets are worse at finishing games that the Pistons are. Who knows - season could turn around with this one win.

Is anyone else annoyed at the slop than CV tosses up...
There's several players that have been successful with relaxed mechanics (George Gervin, AD, Bernard King come to mind).. but it looks like he's not even trying to follow thru on his shots.

What do you mean by turn around? Would you think scraping into the playoffs and then losing in the 1st round would be a good thing for the franchise?
